I remember Reagan calling the soviet union "the evil empire" and Gorbachov ignoring the insults and bending over for him. I assume he gained from the selling of the nation's wealth? Or he was genuinely far sighted and cared about mutual survival?

I didn't think it was his goal for the USSR to collapse, he just wanted to give people more freedom, with the collapse being an unforeseen side effect. But I could be wrong, maybe he had an ulterior motive.

his leadership signs an era of decline for Russia-falling apart of U.S.S.R. and the following era of Eltzin-mass coruption,the growth of mafia.....so stabilisation in russian society came with Putin with the cost ofcource of autocracy and supressing the freedoms
 
Almost same to me who will win....at least this nightmare could stop.No one had interest this war to stop ....the problem is that,if Putin loss-this mean eventually civil war in Russia......and then this current war will look like childish game.Things go inevitably down in spyral....real bad....and now is massacra.This about 400km square,that Ukraine won(if it's true at all) cost lifes of many,many young people,while this clown Zele&his bandits divide the money....most of the people there just don't care who will lead them-theybwould be equally poor&broken

^ Were you talking to me? I didn't mean on fire like literally but yeah, their power is out. Don't know why Putin keeps targeting civilian infrastructure.. that just makes the people hate you even more, which would ultimately make any kind of occupation harder. Not to mention, every missile used on civilian targets means one less for military targets.

No I wasn't directing it at you. I just wanted to be clear that the explosion in the video was another power plant, and not something else

I just post tweets here when I see something getting blown up in the war, pretty much. Or other stuff about the war that I think people may want to know/see
