Jan 6 Attack on the Capitol and the aftermath

I watched that video (of the cop being beaten) the day it happened, I remember being shocked. As well as shocked by the breaking of windows, calls for hanging Pence, etc. If I had time right now I'd look it up for the sake of sharing, but I have to run to band practice.

I also remember a priceless video clip, I forget what it was but it was a bunch of video from a reporter who was in the group trying to get video of what was happening. He interviewed a girl who had gotten pepper sprayed by the cops (the one that let everyone in, yeah those ones), she was crying and saying "but I thought this was the revolution?? Trump told us we were going to take over the government!" (or very similar). I think most of those people were not in any way prepared to stage a real insurrection, but it still shows that people were there to do so.

We’ll show me one…

here ya go, front row seat

yeah they totally "let them in the door"

this video honestly just makes me so sad... those poor cops just doing their job, and that crowd is eerily angry, "frothing at the mouth" as one guy put it... just a sad day for this country

frankly I'm surprised the cops didn't start shooting more people, if I was in that scene displayed in this video I would have absolutely been fearing for my life and felt more force was needed

The best part of the 1/6 theatre is seeing liberals fawn over the police. Its such a stark difference from the summer of 2020. In the same vein as how they changed their tune with the chennys/bushes.
My favorite part about conservatives is they all watch the same news that convinces them liberals all have the same exact views about everything.

Then they say liberals are brainwashed by news outlets.

Right, and then act like the exact same shit didn’t happen during BLM and Seattle, double standard much, or maybe the right should feel complimented they are held to a higher standard :/

you seem to be a reasonable guy @Las Veghost grower

we often disagree, and that's fine because you're respectful, but surely you'd agree that characterizing what happened at the capitol as a bunch of people being ushered/invited in to the building via an open door is just cynical, deflective bullshit?

where's the usher here? where's the open door?

No i would call is a not so peaceful protest boarder line riot, maybe even just a riot, but in no way a insurrection

Without double standards they would have no standards at all. I really hate the gop as well tbh, but the fact that they are the victim of a duplicitous system has a certain endearing quality. Really it’s only a handful of republicans I can stand, and it’s mainly bc they are loathed by the establishment.

It’s just so stupid I feel like most people know when they are exaggerating or playing up something to make a point or painting something to see worse than it is, or shrugging something off like it’s no big deal, and both sides are equally as guilty of this imho but I wish we could just cut the bullshit and just be real about what’s going on, I feel like we’d get further that way

It’s not possible, too much tribalism. The final realization I had was that the retarded back and forth with social issues is by design, Ron Paul was always right it’s about the money. Central banking is the root cause of all of this strife, and it’s not a sexy enough issue to gain folx attention.

Hey I’m just as guilty as the next person when it comes to seeing someone go so far in one direction I take it equally as far or further in the other direction almost like making a point, but I like to think I can see most things for what they are
