There has been extraordinary harm caused by mandates and lock-downs. Immeasurable.

covid has certainly caused much more damage and ruined more lives, if there were no lockdowns it would have done even more

I strongly believe that lock downs have ultimately prevented even further damage, they mitigated damage overall of covid, even if they caused some on their own the overall was lessened

It's just really hard for me to see lockdowns as some evil over and beyond covid, I can see their annoyance but I feel they are absolutely necessary

The lockdowns hurt the government, politicians and countless businesses, a few profit

I don't always trust the government, but I trust them more than the word of a few rogue doctors and fringe media. Compared to 99% of all other people with the credentials to speak on it.

I believe the covid death numbers/damage are underreported.

It really boils down to every single piece of evidence I've seen from the other side of the argument on this forum having no credible sources or actual evidence, so I trust the government more on this one.

Well we have what's called "Day of Freedom" at the end of the week as I'm UK based, all Covid mandates are to be dropped, even if you have tested "positive" you don't have to stay in the house for 10 days. All Covid passports are to be dropped etc.............
The Southern lot in the USA who wave their Bible around in one hand & their AR-15 in another would jump for joy at this & praise God.

Personally I see SARS-COVID as not going anywhere, people have to draw a line on this, do you want to be injected by a big pharma company with a record of very shady behaviour in the past every 3 months when it's clear by UK infection figures the vaccine doesn't stop you from catching it OR passing it on, stay scared for the rest of your life OR ACCEPT some people are going to die (welcome to life folks) & get on with liberty & freedom.

I'm just saying this to provoke thought not to be a dick and disrespect the dead, but much of everyone with the "some people are going to die" attitude, when they get covid and are on deaths door/intubated, completely reverse their opinion and often beg for vaccine even though its too late. I feel like its one of those opinions people seem to bravely have until it happens to them.

I guess that has more to do with the vaccine.

I honestly wouldn't care if lockdowns were dropped. I wouldn't even care vaccine mandates were dropped (most will be soon), all I really ask is that people wear a damn mask in public. It really pisses me off that some people don't abide by ANY safety guidance and thus make me more vulnerable to infection. This is mostly due to political propaganda, not informed choice, IMO. Anyone who says masks don't work has been subject to misinformation. They do work when used in unison combined with 6ft.

Masks are 10x more effective when almost everyone wears one.

But ultimately it boils down to the dilemma of "personal liberty" and other's "personal safety", hard question to answer.

I've had NO Covid "Vaccine" injections at all & I'm UK based, we're not that far behind Israel, I fully accept one day I will die & this place isn't the right point for me to go into my "Religious" views but I don't run from death. I've come very close to death several times & the last time I was in a coma for 3 days in ICU on a life-support machine, death isn't the end my friend.

I'd sure NOT "beg for vaccine" if I got Covid I can promise you, I've made my views clear before on the actual death figures of this weird form of SARS the Chinese made in a lab while playing with Gain-of Function research.

But ultimately it boils down to the dilemma of "personal liberty" and other's "personal safety", hard question to answer.

Life is full of risks which we take each day, the basic law of Libertarianism in MY view is "Don't be a dick to others" so I will carry on keeping my space from others, wear a mask in a shop etc but I also expect others to NOT step on my freedom & Liberty.

regardless of the science or what people think of it, it's simply the considerate thing to do. Right? For the sheep who believe it helps (I am one), it gives me much stress when I am near anyone who isn't masked. Even when outside on a jog, I will cross the road to avoid someone else on a jog with no mask. (I don't wear one on jogs, no, just keep my distance).

I'm a very anxious person, this is why maskless people bother me so much. I'm sure there are a lot of people like me. This is why I'm so opinionated on masks, even more than vaccines.

The data doesn't lie, one or two masks in a room isn't helpful, but if everyone wears one its quite effective.

Asian people are super smart right?* They've been using masks in public for decades. They aren't useless.

Yes, what gives me the "right" to make others feel awkward when we are in a public space? I have no right to make other people feel uneasy in a shared space. It's no real issue to wear a mask despite what I may personally think on them when in a shop or a bus etc. For all I know the person next to me may have some form of PTSD, Asperger's Syndrome etc...........IF it makes another person feel more at ease & makes their day more easy I am willing to do it. Just as I expect NOBODY to fuck with me when I'm out buying heroin for example as it's a PERSONAL CHOICE OF FREEDOM I see this logic applies to wearing a mask if you follow me here?

The term "sheep" is a bit far imo, we are all "sheep" in one way or another, basic human behaviour makes us all "sheep" in some way, I'd not personally use the term myself.
By your own words you said "I'm a very anxious person" so after 2 years of daily death figures etc I can understand why you worry, I would too if I was that way inclined to think, my mom is the same as you are & it's not a bad thing IMHO it's just the way you see the world.

Next time I'm in public I will keep this post in mind when I see someone wearing a mask in a open public space & now I have a far better grasp on why people behave the way they do.

I'm a bit of a germophobe and even if a family member has a tiny common cold (in the PAST not during covid), I have an anxiety attack if I'm exposed to them. I just hate being sick period with anything. This is what causes my anxiety.

Not death, but the hospital bill I would be stuck with should I need to go is much more fucking scary in the US healthcare THAT is a financial death sentence unless you can afford $500/month private health insurance, in which case you can afford the bill anyways lol

My mum (see @LoginNotSecure) is the same, she's had Cancer several times & has brutal R.A. so she didn't go out the house for 2 years. She knows my views on this mRNA injection & I've not gone to visit them in over a year, I was asked at Xmas to take a SARS-COVID2 test if I wanted to go down Xmas day but I saw that as a joke & stepping upon my Liberty so I didn't go, the same goes for the Xmas before. I've seen her but we kept at least 3-4 meters apart & she spoke to me while sitting in her car with the window just open. I accept this as it makes her feel better so let it be.

I've heard that from several in the USA, lucky for us we have the NHS despite it's many falls & issues we are treated at point of need which is good in my view. In my view it's truly savage to not have Universal health care & Education that's supported by Tax but the issue is in the UK we could have a health system that beats Cuba but loads of Tax goes to buy bombs we then drop on villages of brown people for a foul agenda & this isn't the part of BL or the thread to get into that topic.

I've lived on the streets before, eaten all kinds of stuff, been stuck by needles by friends have used many times etc etc.............I don't really worry about germs. It's the weird stuff made in labs in China & the USA & UK I worry about.

Personally I believe it escaped a Chinese lab and was being intentionally produced. I'm also wondering why nobody is talking about that. People don't want to anger China?? I think Trump repeatedly calling it the "China virus" was a dumb thing to do, created hate towards Asians in my country, but I would like to know what the CIA thinks about it.
