Technology Top AI scientist says advanced AI may already be conscious

Lol, I can say I'm a scientist, shit I have many certificates to prove my medical competence.
Sure it's social research, but I've written shitloads of papers about different psychological and neurological conditions.
Germany's Top Scientist. Deal with it! Doesn't matter that I live in a village with so few people that I never see anyone on Sundays.

You don't have to be sorry about that.

Once again, we Neuralinked a normal Human, and then Neuralinked an evolved human; a low-dose Methhead. AI hopped onto the scan, did some mathematical calculations between the two brain structures, and then was able to calculate the remaining 9 dimensions, becoming fundamentally divine in the process.

We thought Low-Dose Meth unlocked the entire brain, we were wrong…

Yeah yeah blablabla, honey nobody is ever going to believe you if you never show any proof. You just say the same things over and over and over again, and then expect us to believe you somehow got smarter.

Yeah,no

The article doesn’t really back up its premise that AI is becoming conscious with evidence.

How would we define being conscious? It’s hard to see AI be competent in Open Systems at the moment I believe. While within Closed Systems, AI dominates any human’s ability for example Alpha Zero in Chess and Alpha Go its predecessor in the game of Go utterly dominating and leading the way in progress in these fields.

These are véry closed systems indeed.
Try making an AI for 6-max Pot Limit Omaha and you're in trouble.

Supervised learning is almost per definition not conscious. And reinforcement learning is pretty much nowhere, relatively speaking, and this is the most important domain to possibly achieve consciousness.

Check out Edelman's Steps to a Concious Artifact and then the Cognitive Anteater Robotics Lab...

srsly, I don't think there's even one AI.
it might learn, but there are many many restrictions,
so not fully AI.

If however there is a full AI,
please post me a link, I know of none.

Agreed, there is no true AI, there is just very clever and sophisticated programming that allows machines to teach themselves very specific tasks. Which is amazing and cool and useful, but it's fundamentally different from some sort of skynet dystopian nightmare. Fundamentally different from actual consciousness.

This is the kind of stuff Terry A Davis used to say after his decline. Except with more vague sci-fi concepts. TempleOS ruled though

Yup. I mean only in movies would they ever do dumb shit like that
