Man, I follow you for the first bit - but once you get to intentionally misleading the public... like I explained, politicians do it all the time, but ultimately misleading for what goal? what was his goal here?

I feel like you're implying some grand evil scheme.... but the way I rationally see it is he was misleading if only to calm the public, prevent panic, and direct all needed resources to hospitals where they're needed most. No other goal than that... and that doesn't seem very evil or worth high criticism to me when compared to normal politics.
I mean, just make me understand why you think his intentions are so evil (or worth that implication)? where is the evil in all this? where is the need for extreme criticism in this?

At that time various people were scalping masks... and hospitals didn't have enough... so what's the ultimate issue you have here??? he was saving the public from itself if anything! Isn't that what government is for?
