Are humans made to naturally eat meat

Are humans actually evolved to eat meat as we are the only animal that has too cook it I've recently stopped eating meat and haven't really missed it were we ever really ment to eat it

Yes, but only on the odd occasion. Humans originally ate a primarily fruitarian diet (with around 70% of our diet consisting of fruit and the rest of vegetables, seeds, nuts) with only very occasionally killing an animal and eating its meat.

Your body uses up reserves within your fat cells. Once those are burned through you will have issues, unless you follow your mineral/vitamin intake exactly.

Most vegans/vegetarians get problems with muscles, sinews, etc, after about 10 years (which is what happened to me), because you have to be super careful with your vitamins and stuff

There's a strong theory that the main purpose of our sharp teeth is to fight off other males, thus the reason why our canines are much smaller than they used to be. We don't need them as much anymore unless you are a professional boxer like Mike Tyson.
Uh no, try opening nuts. Used to open nuts /w teeth, then: genetic mutation (thumb)
Through thumb don't need as strong teeth => more space in the brain-area, since weaker bones needed => bigger brain.

Our teeth just haven't fully retracted yet, but in time they will.

Also I wouldn't call that a "strong theory" because it is pretty dumb, and I haven't found a single article using that theory yet. You got some material? Because I really don't believe this is true

The opposable thumb is another human evolution that demands a high amount of energy from food.

I cannot see as cooking meat is relevant.

My guess (and that's all it is as I've wondered about this myself before); back in the day ye olde caveman came across some or the other carcass that had been cooked in a forest fire and thought hey I'll try that and that was the end of the story i.e. this tastes good and no more fucking raw meat for me! :ROFLMAO:

Yes. Our eyes are in front of us ( predators )

Prey's eyes are on the side.

Our teeth are strong enough. It takes longer to digest it but we can in fact digest it.

And we can eliminate it so a human body was designed to eat it.

It's kind of gross though. When ya think about how it gets to our plate.

we never made to eat meat. It was the system who told us to eat it and posion us. By giving up meat you will free yourself of many cancers

Primates eat meat.
In fact chimpanzees eat smaller monkeys too which is a bit creepy.

I've seen it and was horrified the first time. Some species of the ape family are mean as hell. And they fight to the death to protect their territory. I would rather take my chances with a mountain lion than a chimpanzee.

The person I was replying too said that it's hard to thrive without meat this simply is t true

It's true for me and, presumably, whoever said it.

Yes. Humans are not carnivores but we are natural omnivores.

The evolutionary evidence -?

1. the length of our intestine. It's longer in relation to body size than that of a pure carnivore (like a cat) but shorter than that of a pure herbivore (like a sheep).
Plant fibre is much harder to digest compared to meat and requires a more time - consuming digestive process, hence a longer digestive tract.
2. our teeth. Human pre-molars have jagged points for slicing into meat, while our molars have a flat surface for grinding plant matter. Pigs, which are also omnivores, have the same mixed set of teeth; whereas pure carnivores and herbivores only have one type.
3. humans can live vegetarian no problem without supplements, but not vegan. We do not require actual meat as such ; what we do require is vitamins B12 and D3, plus certain proteins which are almost exclusively animal - sourced (though these can be covered by dairy products and eggs).

So yes we evolved to be natural omnivores, but a secondary evolution also took place once we learned to cook meat. It makes it easier to chew and to digest, so over the generations we lost the strong teeth and aggressive stomach enzymes of our early ancestors.

The same goes for vegetables though. Modern humans cannot adequately break down the tough cellulose of plant materials without either cooking (not for too long though, steaming is better) or grating.
If you eat a raw carnot you will get little nutritional benefit other than fibre. In order to extract the vitamin C and A you need to prepare it in some way. For vitamin A in particular you need to consume some kind of fat at the same time (butter over cooked carrots or oil in a carrot slaw dressing) because it is fat - soluble.

^Just to add to that.

Many - many - grans, legumes, vegetables need to be cooked and/or heavily processed in order to be consumable by humans.

Wheat = less natural than meat.

Try eating a raw potato and tell me how you go.

Good for him. It takes roughly a decade before the silent damage that veganism does to you becomes apparent. Like cigarettes. At that point, it is too late. Maybe some people (again, like cigarettes) can eat vegan their entire life without supplementing and be totally fine but I doubt it.

As @assclass said, it doesn't really seem like you want to have a discussion. You've already made up your mind.

Let me ask you this, does Lionel whatever his name is take supplements? It is impossible to be anything but unhealthy if you are a "natural" vegan. That was your question at the beginning of this post: what is natural. Veganism sure as fuck isn't... And vegetarians rely on the meat industry don't they?

Go eat a burger. You know you want to.

Well it's not true that you can't thrive without meat what are you missing out on then ?

You don't need to take supplements if you know what to eat the main thing you will be missing out on if you don't eat meat is the protein iron and vitamin b12 which if you know what to eat can all be eaten without meat easily although supplements do help it controversial weather your body processes them or not but even meat eaters could do with supplements then

@HeadphonesandLSD

I don't understand the question?

You asked if eating meat is natural.

The answer is yes.

You can't thrive without some kind of animal product, unless you are taking supplements.

Vegetarians are hypocrites. The dairy industry is worse than the red meat industry. If you look into it, it's fucking awful. If you care about animals, go vegan.

Is there a reason you are contributing to factory farming?

Veganism is healthy, right?

So, stop sitting in the fence and go vegan.

Cows don't naturally lactate sufficiently to provide the human race with milk. We constantly keep them in a birthing cycle then we steal their children so you can have the milk that was intended to nourish them.
