I'm willing to bet that you take substances of a far more dubious origin every day without even questioning it, but you're prepared to fall out with friends and family due to a misguided belief?

A lot of anti-vaxxers don't even believe what they're saying. They're lying. They know they are lying. They pretend to believe it. I'm not talking about all of you. You know who you are. It's extremely childish, anti-social behaviour. At the end of the day, I don't care if you get jabbed... But, you are influencing less intelligent people. Same thing with Trump. Most of his supporters were fully aware that the election denial stuff was bullshit. Trump knows it's bullshit. The problem is there's a small group of young impressionable people who haven't been taught how to think critically.

The data from NSW is clear. The vast majority of deaths are unvaccinated. The vast majority of severe illness is unvaxxed... and - most importantly - those dying from COVID who are fully vaccinated are almost entirely people with immune issues. Their immune system doesn't illicit a response from the vax. They get COVID. They die, with or without the vaccination. It makes no difference for them. If your immune system doesn't work, vaccinations are very hit and miss. These rare cases account for almost all of the deaths from vaccinations in Australia, which are - at worst - around one in a million.

One of the problems with the internet is: people don't bother reading beyond the first paragraph. They skim articles. They don't bother looking at the actual data. This, combined with the rapid decline of journalistic integrity, is a recipe for disaster.

She said one person was in their 40s, one was in their 50s, two were in their 70s, two were in their 80s, and one person was in their 90s – and all had underlying health conditions.

The data in NSW is clear. The vaccines are working. Numerous Sydney councils are approaching 90% first dose vaccinations rates.

well yea i don't have faith in the vaccines...but understandably so right? when there's a near blackout on adverse events, i don't see how im supposed to trust them
 
i think sometimes so of you think that im just being an asshole to be an asshole, but that's not the case here

there's actually a thick backstory to all of this and why i feel the way i do about these vaccines - one of them being that i have anaphylaxis another being that im also an xray tech - and then i also have a kid who's probably going to get swept up in this mess and i have to hold the fort

so when i was blowing up a few weeks ago, i was pretty much mad at every pro-vaxxer i encountered - but i checked myself and im over it now - so the apologies went out for it

but each individual's situation is unique and ppl make decisions based on that and i feel we should respect everybody's own personal decision on this
