CEPS Well Hung Parliament (CEPS Social/Off Topic)

He’s a grifter along with every other politician. A part of me admires him bc he’s a Chad land lord that evicts folks, but also does the commie shtick on the side.

That seems pretty unfair to me. It's akin to those who would blemish Lincoln's legacy due to his exclusion of explicitly racial rationale in his push for emancipation.

How about you attempt to push for socialist and, relative to the rest of the political entity you reside in, far left policies in an environment where too much disruption quickly leads to a total inability to make any difference at all.

I got up close with a bunch of kangaroos today. They're such lovely, stupid animals. I live pretty far out of town, so sometimes we see them hopping down major roads.

Kangaroos aren't like deer. They don't get caught in the headlights and freeze. They run alongside your car, then look directly at you and hop out in front.

Kangaroos will fuck your car up. They aren't suicidal. They're just stupid. They are like dodo birds. Completely oblivious. You have to look out for them (when you're on the road) around dusk and dawn.

Wild kangaroos can spook easily. It depends where you are. They can also be super tame.

I stayed in this cottage in a National Park in Tasmania once and all of the wallabies and the possums came up to us when we were sitting on the porch and we fed them by hand. It was like a 1930's Disney cartoon.

I was walking down a bush track today and a kangaroo was hopping down the side of the track alongside us.

I saw maybe thirty of them, just hanging out in the bush. I could walk right up to them. There was no fear in their eyes.

There's something really majestic seeing these bizarre creatures hop down major suburban roads as the sun rises.

I love nature. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that one day I will buy a farm and live somewhere removed from all this shit where lockdowns don't matter and neither do politics.

I lost my phone in a shopping centre in North Melbourne today. It was the sort of suburb you don't want to lose your phone. So, I ran back to the coffee shop to find it. Thankfully some good natured bloke found it and handed it in to security. So, I went down to Information to pick it up.

The woman at the Information desk told me describe the phone. I described it. Turns out there was only one there, but I guess some people go around collecting phones. Then she said she needed the phone number so she could call it and see it ring. So I said, yeah, fine, and I gave her the number.

You would think - at this point - she'd give me the fucking phone.

No. She said I needed photo ID to get my phone back. I said I couldn't find my wallet this morning so I don't have it and I live 30km (19 miles) away.

At this point she honestly asked me if I had some photo ID in my phone. I squinted at her and reminded her cautiously that she had my phone. So, she gave it to me. And, there I was, standing in the middle of a shopping centre scrolling through thousands of photos looking for a photo of my ID.

I stopped, repeatedly, to show her photos of myself in the phone... but she insisted that she had to see some photo ID.

I told her I couldn't find it.

She told me to give her my phone back. She didn't say, "I can't let you take the phone." She said: "I can't let you take your phone."

I almost started to give it back to her then I stopped myself and told her no. I'm not going to give her my property.

Finally, after five or ten minutes, she called security and had a long discussion with them about what to do. During the discussion she said the words, "It's obviously his phone."

...

It's no wonder people are being replaced by robots.

That's great, it starts with an earthquake,
Birds and snakes, an aeroplane
Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

Eye of a hurricane,
Listen to yourself churn
World serves its own needs,
Regardless of your own needs.
Feed it up a knock, speed,
Grunt no, strength no.
Ladder structure clatter with fear of height, down height.
Wire in a fire, represent the seven games
In a government for hire
And a combat site.
