Oh, no.
Ya got just as much right as the next to express your views and argue at will. The line tends to get drawn when someone is personally attacked, preposturous or plain out dangerous holdings forth are held and bullying is held to a minimum. These "goings to far" are not the only limits of decisions made by moderators and such nor is the scope of "transgressions" limited to listed examples (this is all it was menat to be)... there are any number of ways and reasons one could be reprimanded or worse - gods forbid.
By all means take a step back, gather your thoughts and bring the pain. Lot's of open people around these parts just gotta take the opening and throw combinations or bob and weave til the bell rings. ;)
Ya got valid arguments and surly some feel the same here (we are world citizens if nothing else and no different from hometown smallcreek name yer country). Tell us what ya really feel. Maybe the smoke and haze from all that anger will clear a bit and some valuable insight is either self-realized, provided or both. Hey, just sayin', it works for me and many others iirc.

Man, I was just thinkin that same earlier. I actually asked myself wtf I am chewing on cause it's kinda tough. lol
This is a truism and proven throughout the ages. For the perfect example check: "I fight this battle in the name of god!" They all right, right? :eek: I mean, how could god be not in the battle on all sides? Heard of pain freaks but this is anotha level.
I can "prove" anything by arguments... it's up to other to buy my crap or not. :)

Hate to state the obvious but ya have to.
Not a single mom or female at all but have been homeless more than once and know the depths that this can take us. Trying to get off that street and unpack baggage is a relief but hard faught from this vantage point. No foundation, support system and even empathy has taken a serious nose dive among human recently.
There's a lot of shit going on and it is being flung about willy-nilly; seems that everyone has their thumb up their asses waitin for a miracle to appear. I think we forget that we are the miracle. It's all in our hands for better or worse.
What kind of work were you into prior to "falling off" and bumpin ya head? (My bad if these words are offensive but been in a couple hard places between rocks and mostly just type what I think. no ill intent). What would you like to get into if there was a chance and you think you would excel at?
Do you have any drugs/meds to take for stress/anxiety relief? Does anything help calm ya and help see things a little clearer and with less "passion"?
Sorry about the 20 questions I just see myself back under that bridge thinking about where I was mentally and where I wanted to go.

Would you feel more comfortable if this conversation was moved to a dedicated forum requesting others input into your current living conditions? I mean, ya can post where ya want just though it may get more attention from others who may be in your predicament... many wont touch a covid thread I know I wouldn't for the longest. Just to much to muck through. ;)
 
Hey, feel free to keep posting here if you feel it. Just cause we tried to merge the threads doesn't mean your perspective in this doesn't matter or isn't valid.
So, are there others with you that share your feelings about this invasive push to be vaccinated by the powers or...?
I was antivax (but with mask) and then the opposite - vaxed (without the mask for the most part). Flip like a pancake, I tell ya what. ha
It was mostly the decision to follow my partner cause either way I ain't gonna leave her side quietly. She said it was time - done. Wasn't even a discussion about it.
Would I have gotten the vaccine if it weren't for that single influence? Probably wouldn't have. If she were to decide that it wasn't for her; it wasn't for me.
Feel a little guilty now looking at the struggle others are going through regarding this and it was a choice I didn't even have to make.
 
You had the virus, lived through it and you are a danger to who? I still do not get why people who have opted out of the vaccine are basically getting put in thier own class.
I would have to argue the point that the covid vaccine doesnt do what they sold it as. I am the most sceptical person I know and when we heard that it would keep us out of the hospital and from the grave we said fuck it. An old saying comes to mind... better to be caught with than without. Used mostly in life or death situations. Kinda fitting in this regard to us. If we can get one more day together we will be that much richer. I know gag. All good though. I give credit where it's due.
I wont tey to talk anyone into getting a viral vaccine. I will try to bring to the table some interesting information (to me) and a few opinions but on the other hand I do not want anyone shoving information or opinions down my throat without any basis in fact and usually rooted in emotions. This is where we are failing on both sides of this vax arguement... imo. Throw off a mf emotions ya got full control. Im learning haha ;)
But absolutely do what is best for you and yours We all gotta live with our decisions whether the "right" or "wrong"... I have also learned this somewhere along the line but this isnt about me.
Hope you find peace soon as the alternative we all have had plenty of.

A couple of random thoughts. I am trying to figure out why someone who is not me (SWIM for real lol) wants me to do something to my body under the guise that we keep ourselves and others safe. I am not really going to argue this as I am still formulating. But making someone do something to their body has been the abortion debate all along. The notion that you kill a child if yo have an abortion. Now that is a sticky topic and I admit again both sides makse sense. However every once in a while in a Law and Order the people want to set presedence in the right direction. So mandating vaccines is slippery. At what point do we mandate "vaccinates" for opiate users because people think we are harming ourselves and others? They think that would be the right thing to do. We are not talking seat belts like the dumb news is trying to make an analogy on.

On the other end of the spectrum yeah we take in all sorts of garge everyday so stop slagging the vaccine.

The news is starting to sound scripted. I wil say this, Pfizer is going to get sued from these people that were vaccinated and still got pretty sick with covid. I just saw a news lady say this" "now that we know vaccinated people can spread the virus it is important that everyone get vaccinated" and my logical head just dropped.

A solution for the unvaccinated? Up their insurance rates. No admittance to hospitals (for covid) if they don't have a vaccine card. That to me would be fair. To think they are going to convince people that do not want to get vaccinated to get it is beyond moronic.

Agreed. What I am trying to do is a collective trust based off of information. Including you all and our opinions. It is important to me. BUt listening to anyone waiting, watching. And honestly I have not gotten it yet based off of other people right around me that DID get it and warned me not to.

Again my main "belief" is the vaccine is a good humanitarium effort to keep mankind safe. But that self righteousness( that irritates you too Patti), that they are on a mission to get people to get the vaccine has now superceded any real need to. (i am at the point where I almost say get the f*ck out of my face and that does not need to be)
And again, Lallapalooza, over 100,000 sweatey huggy people. If we see 30-40-50 years olds 100% Unvaccinated start dropping dead then they can continue their mission to get people vaccinated and it would make more sense to me. I would join them. But there is more misguided passion than facts right now.

But yeah, antibiotics, vaccines, meds, mankind does move forward. Some more cautiously.

What do breakthrough infections look like in Washington?​

Vaccines are effective and breakthrough infections are still rare. According to the Washington State Department of Health, more than 94% of all cases, deaths and hospitalizations for those 12 and older have been linked to individuals who were not fully vaccinated.

As for the 4,241 breakthrough cases identified in the state between Jan. 17 and July 24, 86% reported symptoms and only 8% were hospitalized. There have been 52 deaths, among which at least 37 people had underlying conditions and at least 27 were associated with a long-term care facility, according to DOH.


so lets do some math here :unsure:

4200 divided by 6 months is 700 a month divided by 4 is 175 a week

for our state, which ive been following the entire time, that's a lot of breakthroughs per week compared to what we averaged per week in the state before the shots

No one here bird. In fact here is where the sane discussion is. It is people at my work and the mandate that will happen. There was a get the covid vaccine talent show that could have a person barf. Video's of coworkers talking science and how safe it is and they can't do their own job correctly. That type stuff irritating me. But my company sent an email that there may be a mandate. I guess people are trying to see if that is legal. Actually it is an excellent test of law.

You know my wife chilled out on it. I am going to go when I can get out the door and do it. (truly hesitant and just listening) But some people at my work make speechless.

I take the virus seriously. I almost quaranteen all the time. Work from home. Eat home. Wear a mask for a quick run to the supermarket. I did however see a few friends the other night, a jam outdoors and distanced enough. Other than that I have not seen a crowd. But life is going on as normal. I see sporting events and festivals and other crowd things so we will see.

That is the main issue. We have to be patient with each other. Cut each other slack yet we picked a fight.

If my wife doesn't get vaccinated in 2 months, she risks losing her job. No sorry, there is an alternative: do a PCR test every 2 days (48 euros per test)...

The government has just made a declaration of war...

right. she has a choice. a shitty choice, certainly, but a choice.

people are talking about being forcefully vaccinated against their will. that hasn't happened.
