If they bust the filibuster, really, really bad things are going to to happen. You can see really scary trends already: they are gearing up for a purge of law enforcement and the military. I've mused about civil conflict or a coup before, but the possibility seems vastly more tangible just over the past few months, to the point that I feel like all previous concerns I had were downright silly.
Accelerationism is very tempting, but I find it to be somewhat of a nihilistic tendency. It has also inspired people to do some profoundly stupid things. I want to feel hope for change (or more often, protection against change) but it's hard. If the federal government does go full Stalin, secession would probably be the best possible outcome. Regardless of what happens, I think we're at the most dangerous moment we've had as a nation in a long time. Various parallels can be made with various historical situations, but the confluence of novel factors like social media and pervasive surveillance (the two are intertwined) make whatever happens guaranteed to be unprecedented (a word that is incredibly overused these days, but for good reason.)
