US Politics The 2020 Trump Presidency Thread

If knew what the women Trump supporters looked like in Ohio, you would probably think that Betsy DeVos was fucking hot! It’s all about perspective:

Fuck me. Point made. Loud and clear. I hang my head in shame!

Those people usually will have to reapply with the incoming administration if they wish to keep their current jobs. Career government employees (ones that aren’t appointed) have commonly served multiple administrations. It is up to the new administration if they want to clean house and start from scratch (which is unheard of because of the learning curve). But these government employees understand this and realize they will have to reapply for their jobs when administrations change. It’s similar to when a company gets bought out by another company, if that makes sense?
Thank you kind Sir.

As I said: always wondered about this all but never asked.

And the security aspects?

Must be something in place? Otherwise for damn sure we’re going to have a flood of new books coming out (most of which would probably be on par with at least 50% of YouTube videos on the Trump Administration insofar as credibility is concerned).

Question:

Other than elected officials: what happens to the rest of the staff that were employed at, say, The White House for example, upon a regime change (for want of a better phrase)?

Do they remain employed or are they basically out of work and have to return to the private sector and/or civilian life?

Same applies to those listed i.e. are these legit resignations as in they’re now going to be out of work or are these just symbolic resignations type of thing?

Is a new POTUS or his Administration compelled to keep staff on or is it like a clean sweep? Prime example: what happens to somebody like Kayleigh?

Serious question(s) by the way i.e. always wondered about this.

Just to add:

Some of the above listed resignations are pretty heavyweight jobs. Are they sworn to or bound by secrecy or what?
Some of government officials are appointed by the President, some have to be approved by the Senate after the President nominates them (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis...idential_appointment_with_Senate_confirmation), some “higher up” staff are hired by elected officials or higher ranking appointed officials, and some staff are just regular employees (“Deep State” 🙄) who are very hard to fire and tend not to change over administrations/provide continuity of government.

The resignations I mentioned are all, to my knowledge effective immediately, and in one sense symbolic (just two weeks of work left for most of them before they take on other jobs, particularly the cabinet members), but it sends a fairly strong message to say “I literally can’t work for you anymore, not even for a couple of weeks” and some of those people could now be passed over for a civilian position by an entity that favors Trump, although he’s pretty toxic right now.

A few other things:

I assume all of the people who have resigned have planned where they will be working in a couple of weeks, unless they are retiring or taking a break.

Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao is staying on until Monday because she has a transition meeting with the new nominee, Pete Buttigieg.

Other officials are rumored to be staying on to have a smooth transition to the new administration.

I was hoping porn. I would love to violently hate masturbate to her getting railed by a big black guy with a BLM t-shirt. But she will probably be like a real estate agent and head of the condo board in her gated Florida community.
Nope. Porn and prostitution are not options for her I’m afraid. So don’t get your hopes up.

You never know in TrumpWorld! 🤣
Jeez. Can we stop blaming President Trump for everything.

Clue is on her Twitter profile. And I am not spelling it out for those who don’t get it. Because for DAMN sure YOU will be sending me the BL Riot Act attached to a PM that contains a warning. Of that I have absolutely no doubt in my mind! :ROFLMAO:

I just copped a 2 week ban for a similar comment.

Double standards with moderators.

Mods are just people, theres heaps of ppl mod or not that can't handle others around, learning to tolerate ppl that drive you nuts is a luxury afforded to the people , just ignore them and they'll ignore you perhaps.
Ah good ol trump. You always know where he stands. He's not like politicians who say one thing one day then backflip.

Who portray themselves one way then another way when people disapprove.

A real straight shooter.

Trump flip flops as much as anyone who seems to think the public are so stupid they can't see through the bullshit ,
I haven't received like 30 infractions in my time here. I was a member for like 6 years before joining staff and never got banned.

What I'm saying here, is rightly or wrongly, it's human nature that people might not be as careful about infracting someone that already has dozens of infractions. It's expected that they understand the line and shouldn't keep pushing it.

It's really not that hard to not get banned. Just don't constantly play with being as close to the line as possible and you won't have to worry about having to argue if you were exactly over it this time or not.

Or as love bandit pointed out, ask yourself.. If you keep having the same problems, with different mods, year after year. Maaaaybe it's not the mods with the problem?

Welcome back btw, you'll be assigned a member of staff as your probation officer, they have a right to search you for drugs at their discretion, and seize them if found. Any such seizures will be... "inspected" by the staff as a whole. Sharing is caring bitches!

Jess, ironically and or/ hypocritically youre coming off as an internet version of people in power who you often say you despise.

Ive been very aware of the problems here and there is no way in hell the powers that be are blameless as many have contributed, for years and that is provable.

Dont worry, this isn't me bringing up tired old drama, its you doing that, just responding as someone who also saw what went on, hope you get over it.

OT
Ffs, I Was thinking democracy is a joke because Trump was elected democratically and spent the years with ppl trying to impeach only to act like a dick when he got voted out.

But now I think that's better than being in a totalitarian state with powers that be given limitless terms, no t having to face uncomfortable truths and not having to even pretend to care about their reputation.

Like China, NK, they don't allow criticism, neither do you it seems.

Meh.

Soon. Not soon enough.
But porn and prostitution do proceed him, as the world knows.
Speaking of Kayleigh. What the FUCK happened HERE? I had to look twice and at two different channels just to verify that it’s the same person!

Oh well. There goes that for sure! Damn. She looks likes she’s aged ten years and just come out of the wash machine!

Some people really do have a clever sense of humour. This comment just made on YouTube by somebody on a video showing the shit that went on at the Capitol building on Wednesday! You gotta admit it’s funny! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
