Did I hear one of Trumps people/kids clearly say something earlier along the lines of "this isn't the Republican party anymore it's Trump's party" ?

donald trump jr. earlier today: "This gathering should send a message to them: This isn't their Republican Party anymore. This is Donald Trump's Republican Party."

Thought as much, it was background noise so I wasn't really believing my ears - should've known better

Wow did he really say that?

That's the kinda thing I would say as a criticism.

But yea. He's kinda not wrong.

In the end trumps influence could destroy the republican party. It could honestly wind up falling apart leading to a decade of Democrat rule.

It's not unprecedented, it happened when the federalist party fell apart and the democratic republican party ran uncontested.

It could happen again if the Trump faction and the non trump faction turn on each other. Which may be inevitable.

I don't say this as a good thing. I don't want an uncontested democratic party.

what a weak, insincere, uninspiring, spineless minute that was.

Just thought I would share. I have honestly surprised myself with how impartial I have grown towards the entirety and individual sides of this.

I am just looking at it more like a bookmaker now. Whatever will be, literally will be. In time, we may learn invaluably, for more certain. I hope.

Surely you jest! That looks older than I am and has a rather leathery look to it!

Fine with me though. Doesn’t fit the Republican profile anyway!

Question:

Other than elected officials: what happens to the rest of the staff that were employed at, say, The White House for example, upon a regime change (for want of a better phrase)?

Do they remain employed or are they basically out of work and have to return to the private sector and/or civilian life?

Same applies to those listed i.e. are these legit resignations as in they’re now going to be out of work or are these just symbolic resignations type of thing?

Is a new POTUS or his Administration compelled to keep staff on or is it like a clean sweep? Prime example: what happens to somebody like Kayleigh?

Serious question(s) by the way i.e. always wondered about this.

Just to add:

Some of the above listed resignations are pretty heavyweight jobs. Are they sworn to or bound by secrecy or what?
