What drug that can be used therapeutically relieves apathy/anhedonia not associated with depression? Typical antidepressants make it worse. I am interested in something that can be used therapeutically. Must be sustainable for months, not for a one-off or once-every-few-weeks.

DMT or mushrooms should help long term and last a few months from one trip. I used psychedelics to repair my anhedonia from stimulant abuse.

I was thinking of ordering some micro mushrooms they sell for depression treatment. I was 1 years on dexedrine and I cannot function now. My brother too except he's way worse. What stimulant did you use and how long?

speed, mainly high doses of methylphenidate due to cost effective 70 mg + a day for a decade. Have done meth. Heavy heavy abuse of mdma i have probably eaten over 50 grams of mdma through my life. Microdosing mushrooms really is wonderful for repairing the brain.

So, for Anhedonia related to PTSD, can ketamine, modafinil, DMT and shroom microdoses all be effective in treating or curing this awful condition?

Are any of these treatments (or any other drugs) available legally, and supervised and/or prescribed by a psychiatrist? I’m taking Trintellix, an SSRI that works quite well for depression, but I want to be the same carefree girl that was so giggly and had so much passion for goofy things, that I was before a series of events changed me in 2010...
I don’t know if it’s even possible to get the old me back but I’d really like to...

Ketamine will at least offer a week-long respite in my experience.

shroom thepary is now legal in Oregon. Same with DMT been made legal i believe in plants there. There is a ayahuasca church in america but ayahuasca is a big no no for SSRI. SSRis blunt the effects of psychedelic's. America is moving foward so hopefully mushroom thepary will spread around the cities and states who vote on.

Dex = speed too. NSI is unhealthy

They're all unhealthy, the true answer lies within yourself, they're just a facade. I dunno man, never met anyone with this ''illness'' I have some basic drug knowledge of what's what and that's it. Other than that if you're not happy with the answers here, go see a specialist

I know little about NSI-189. Why it is unhealthy?

How does methylphenidate compares to dextroamphetaine for long-term treatment of anhedonia?

"Just stop having anhedonia bro. It is all within yourself."

lol.

Heh, I think shrooms would be the last thing I'd want to take therapeutically. At least with LSD it feels like there's a way out if you feel uncomfortable. Of course that's my experience

I take lithium carbonate. I tried chelated lithium years ago and it did something even though I had to take a lot of metallic-tasting pills. I guess it works for some people but it takes a while to start noticing it, like for me it's been a year and I'm just now feeling leveled out. The anhedonia doesn't ever go away. I think it has to do with being an adult but it's genetic too. At least I can ignore it though. It wasn't like that before

What benefit did lithium give you?

It's a mood stabilizer so it does that. It helps me get through the day without feeling like I took anything. I guess like anything, there are side effects at certain doses or for certain people. I only take 900mg/day which is a starting dose, so we shall see. I know it doesn't feel toxic like other things I've tried. Of course, I don't know how it works for other people. I actually don't know anybody else who takes it. Hope that helps

Microdosing the shrooms can be very therapeutic for some people. I just ordered mine. But I also read low dose LSD can help as well. Except I don't even know what LSD is not where to get it.

@ftcgq I read on reddit that NCi-189 can be deadly.
