Aye, people with money will pay smarter people to minimize their tax payments under the law. It falls to guys like Biden, nearly a half century in politics, who created those tax laws and left those loopholes to close them lest everyone capable will minimize their taxes according to the law. Actually, that's the kicker here = people want to decry Trump only paid $750? How about 'what did he do that was illegal'? Because there isn't any....they looked, no links to Russia or anything else (even NYT admitted this in their article). Be upset as you wish about how little he paid....if it's according to the law, who should you really be angry at?
At this point, now that the truth is revealed, I'm not thinking he should have paid more taxes, I'm thinking he told a pile of massive lies to get elected, and probably even moreso so appease his own ego. One of the biggest selling points supporters claim is that he's a brilliant businessman who would run the country back into the green. But it turns out he's an even worse businessman than I thought, and was losing tens of millions of dollars a year and is now 400 million in the hole even despite the immense amounts of money he made at The Apprentice (which was the first time he was actually self-made in his life). It reveals that, rather than a genius businessman, he has decades and decades of a record of acquiring companies and ruining them, and then finding ways to borrow or make more money, and then making all that money disappear, too.
All this time I thought he was hiding his tax returns because he cheated on them, turns out he hid them because it totally demolishes the image of himself he portrays. People voted him in because they thought he'd run the country like his businesses. Turns out, we sure better hope he doesn't. And it's just another lie, a big lie.
The rest of your reply is ORANGE MAN BAD!!1
But Orange Man IS bad, which is what many people have been saying all along. He's a charlatan, he lied to you to get your support, he lied to get into office, he's lied all throughout his presidency, he lied when he promised what he would accomplish, and he's been lying his entire career well before this presidency. He literally stated that he would only accept the outcome of the election if he wins. How this isn't bad to you is beyond me.
He's a bad president, and his supporters keep trying to dress him up as something he's not, when the truth is hanging right in front of everyone's face.
I heard a program on the radio today that reminds me of why so many actually do vote for him. They were interviewing Trump supporters after the debates and asking them if they still supported him. A few said no, some were all like MAGA WHOO. But some had more moderate responses, but still said they'd support him. One guy was like listen, I'm a man of faith, and the thing I consider above all else is abortion. I cannot even entertain the idea of voting for anyone who is pro-abortion rights. Do I think Trump is a good man? No, not really. Do I support a lot of what he's done? No. I support some things he's done. I felt embarrassed when I watched the debate, but I will vote for him, 100%, because he will support pro lifers like me. I think sometimes god chooses imperfect vessels to serve his perfect plan, and I think this is what is happening.
So... yeah. There are a lot of single-issue voters that the system has basically corralled into blindly voting on party lines, the Dems do it, too.
