a couple of days ago, president trump signed two executive orders related to health care.

for those who don't know, executive orders are "major power grabs of authority" and a tool used when the president is "unable to negotiate w/ Congress" (source: president trump, the self-proclaimed world's greatest negotiator)

one eo seeks to protect pre-existing conditions. pre-existing conditions are already protected under the aca (aka obamacare), which president trump has been fighting for 3 years to get rid of.

the other eo seeks to prevent 'surprise billing'. but the eo itself doesn't really do anything - it requires congress to pass legislation.

hmmm...

are these the acts of a president sincerely addressing a complex problem and committing to materially improving healthcare in this country? or are they the acts of a desperate president who promised a complete health care overhaul ("Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now"), is looking at tanking polling numbers and needs to be seen to be doing something because the healthcare plan they've been promising for 3 years doesn't exist?

I don't watch his speeches. Why would I? There was a question asked and I replied to ot but you and jessFr and a couple others don't like my OPINION so you all act like what you say trump is.

Trump's political party affiliation has changed numerous times. He registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987, switched to the Reform Party in 1999, the Democratic Party in 2001, and back to the Republican Party in 2009.

He is a casino gambler. Simply goes to the next slot machine hoping he will have better luck.

I don't understand what your boyfriend being black has to do with anything. You're not being censored, either, no one is preventing you from sharing your opinion, are we all supposed to agree with you? There are plenty of conservative posters posting what they want in here, and talking shit about liberals, too, and not being censored. Why does it bother you so much if people criticize Trump? If you support him, then you support him, why does it matter to you if I agree with your opinion or not? You're allowed to support him, and people are allowed to disagree with your opinions.

You don't even watch his speeches, apparently, so unless you know the guy personally, where are you even getting your opinion of him from? From media outlets, right? Or from what other people you trust tell you? But isn't that what you are accusing liberals of, of just taking whatever the media says and making that our opinion? Listening to him give public addresses is the only way to actually get an unbiased opinion about him, if you hear words over and over directly from his mouth, you're getting an opinion based on direct observation of his behavior and words, otherwise you're just listening to what someone else tells you to think, right?

Between what I continually hear him say, and various policy decisions of his regarding the environment and education, and his repeated appointing of people to heads of departments who spent their careers trying to undermine those departments (like the head of the EPA spending his whole career suing the EPA to repeal environmental protection laws, and Betsy DeVoss, who is trying to privatize primary education which would be the death blow to America, as soon as education becomes only available to those with money), I have formed the opinion that Donald Trump needs to go. I have the right to that opinion, and I've come to it through direct observation. Do I think Obama and Clinton are crooked? Yes, for sure. That is irrelevant to my opinion of Trump, though. Answering someone who says Trump is corrupt with "but what about Obama/Clinton" is the definition of "whataboutism", you guys all say you're just pointing out hypocrisy, but what you're doing is dodging the points being made about Trump... I thought Clinton was a terrible choice, I think Biden is a terrible choice, and I supported Obama and ended up disappointed. Many, many liberals feel this way. I/we just also believe Trump is awful, he saw an opportunity to play on peoples' desire for an anti-establishment candidate and he pretended tp be the savior, the swamp drainer, but in fact he's just another con-man, he duped a lot of people. Like so many other politicians have. He's a dangerous con-man because this is a very fragile and pivotal time in the world, and our leader is a narcissistic con-man with no previous experience governing.

Also, if I recall, you're not American. Well, I am, so I have a little more stock in the outcome of the 2020 election than you do. If you don't ever listen to his speeches and you're not American, why are you so upset when Americans talk shit about Trump? (sorry if I'm wrong and you are American but pretty sure I remember you're not)

I really don't like the guy. He hasn't had 1 successful business in his life. I actually thought it was a joke that he was running.
I just know from personal experience what it can be like if you're at the top and have competitors. They spread bs about me which caused alot of problems and I'm sure some lady still thinks I slept with my boss/her husband. Or the neighbor who spread a rumour in a new town that i must be into teenage boys because I took in troubled native youth and I think I said 1 would make a good husband (didn't have to ask, he would shovel snow).
So i stick to facts. And I have changed from liberal to conservative over the years so can't judge someone for that. Although I'm sure his reasoning was different than mine but i don't know.
When you're judged your whole life for the way you look you start to judge less.

Trump also said he will not peacefully leave.

We are going to pay hard in 2021/2022 for what trump has done.

True Hillary KKKlinton hates women, as a lot of leftists do as they ignore how Islam punishes women and girls, and how in China and many other Asian countries if a woman is pregnant and has a girl the infant is killed via abortion or after the child is born.
