Why didn't they just tackle him down or taze him? That cop is done. Lucky he didn't die, but he is still done.
Don't most business owners have insurance ?
Can't bring someone back from the dead.

Insurance policies normally have a deductible. At the very least the shop owner has to clean up their trashed store which isn't fair to them.Don't most business owners have insurance ?

The state won't help you when the riots break out, there won't be anyone to call even with a fully funded police force.But at the end of the day, to deal with property damage, it should never be escalated to homicide.

I think it's warranted but you should be defending your own property, not just because you're a 17 year old nazi with a gun.
"Your efforts are futile so don't try" would be a better message aimed at the protesters. You'd think they'd learn about the 1960's, the grand failures of the civil rights act, etc. but nope. A lot of protesters think this is some new phenomena, that it is coming to a climax now.I think it's futile and completely ignorant these individuals believe they can protect their property form a mob of extremely angry rioters. It's never going to end well, either for the person defending property or the person rioting. Someone is going to unnecessarily get hurt, and the property damage is going to happen regardless. We're not talking about a small group to defend against, we're talking about 100s and 100s, sometimes more than 1000s, of severely agitated and angry people. The property is going to be damaged regardless, so the attempts to defend become irrational and only incite additional, unnecessary violence and harm to human life.

You do indeed know the answer. Look at the Civil Rights Act, ask yourself if it held up well over time. A lot of people think it did but are still protesting (they are lying to themselves). Some think it worked well. Others think it didn't work well (and are alright with the racial division or abhor it, but still think CRA was a failure/had its pitfalls).I think this kind of serves the core of it all. Are the protests futile, in the long run? I don't know the answer to that, and you bring up some valid points about our history. I don't necessarily know if this will be the "be all, end all" to racism in this country, for sure. I would love to see it, and maybe this will achieve it, I can hope, anyways. But, what I do think is much more likely is there will be incremental improvements, and we have to start somewhere. If we don't demand change, we will never make progress, and for a species that has adapted to live on all seven continents and walked on the moon, we will never stop trying to adapt and become better.
I am going to reinterpret your message. If we are so intelligent that we have adapted to live on seven continents and walked on the moon, then it is unlikely racism is ever going away. How did we become so intelligent/advanced and still have racism in our species? Genesis went on in an interview about what started xenophobia in a genetic sense. I would link it here but the belief we can evolve beyond that in a world where we are already so developed does not make sense to me.for a species that has adapted to live on all seven continents and walked on the moon, we will never stop trying to adapt and become better.
So what!! I own a business and have insurance but that don’t mean someone should be able to damage my stuff.Don't most business owners have insurance ?

Juxtapose? Wtf is thst?of course not, but lots of people including the media always juxtapose people dying with building on fire or getting looted. they aren't equal. Killing is worse.

Don’t go setting fire to someone’s building or robbing them and you have less chance of getting shot. It’s pretty simple.
That ridiculous, the shop owners getting robbed didn’t kill anyone.dont go killing unarmed black people and your business will have less chance of getting looted or burned.

it’s just scumbags out on the rob.
shopkeeper=innocent member of society
Looter=thieving scumbag
Ye that’s fuckin weird ain’t it. Not sure why they support the police and not the bloodthirsty thieving cunts ruining their livelihood.yeah but the business owners largely support the murderous piggies.
