Whataboutism lol

Some democrats are exposing themselves as hypocrites.
Believe all women?
Sexual assault is reprehensible?

Nope, only when it's their opponents.

so you condemn Trump for his sexual assaults, right?

Which one specifically? What's the most egregious example and is it a fair comparison to the highly credible accusation against Biden? (plus all the video evidence)

But yes if Trump committed sexual assault I do condemn that.

The media is certainly covering for Joe. Doesn't negate Trump's offenses though. Even you said you haven't seen many that are credible, implying some are credible.

Study: Liberal TV's Blackout of Shocking Sex Claims Against Joe Biden

bidenreadestudy_blog2.png

The significance of their April 23 break point = Media Research Center unearthed and posted an August 1993 video clip of Reade's mother calling CNN about her daughter's problem with a "prominent senator."

It's not as if they haven't had time to promote Joe Biden's presidential campaign: During this time, ABC, NBC, CNN and MSNBC all invited Biden on their airwaves for interviews, but they refused to confront him even once about these allegations. Out of 77 questions, not a single one asked the former Senator and Vice President about Reade's charges.
...
In just over a month, the grand total of ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN and MSNBC’s Reade coverage amounted to 27 minutes and 31 seconds, as of April 27. However, 14 minutes and 54 seconds of that came from CNN on April 25.
...
The contrast to media coverage for then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is stark. In addition to blanketing the airwaves with the accusations of Christine Blasey Ford, the networks virtually ignored any evidence that would exonerate the conservative nominee. MRC Research Director Rich Noyes wrote in September of 2018:

During the twelve days since Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein publicly announced the existence of an unspecified allegation against Brett Kavanaugh, the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news shows have spent nearly six hours (344 minutes) regurgitating various unproved allegations against the Supreme Court nominee.

Emphasis is by MRC.

As I've stated before (and even been infracted once for it due to my sexually suggestive language) I think Trump is too smart to cross the line from sleazy playboy into sexual assaulter. It's a very fine line but also a very drastic line. You can make a sexually aggressive move on a woman and she declines and she won't be that offended or run to the papers about it. She might even be charmed but just not interested. But then there are men who are drunk off power (Biden, Weinstein) who just feel they can do anything without getting in trouble. They won't realize or won't care when a woman is flat-out not interested and they will still escalate.

Trump talking on the tape to me is not an offence and that's the worst thing they could prove. If he had a history of sexual assault I would've expected more evidence or accusations or a settled lawsuit. Also in today's political climate merely hitting on a woman could be perceived as something reprehensible but I would consider Trump more playboy than rapist.

The comparison of the media coverage between Biden's credible assault allegation and Trump talking to his mate on a hot mic is mindblowing,

that is absolutely ridiculous. The best possible argument you could make is that they're both scoundrels, but at least Trump has his wits about him. For the most part.

that being said...

this is why Trump is going to demolish Biden:

Trump knows how to fight, and Americans want a fighter. As hollow and deceptive as that title might be.

When are the US media going to stop using big numbers that mean very little and instead focus on per capita based reporting? A whole bunch of countries perform far more testing than the US per capita and are continuing to increase that capacity faster than the US. The UK, of course, still continues to crater along the bottom somewhere with our government inevitably missing its target to hit 700,000 tests per week by a country mile.

It's nothing new. The media rarely uses per capita because it's written by idiots, for idiots.

To my knowledge, the country currently with the highest per capita tests is.. Australia.

Much as I truly despise trump to the point of disgust, and generally enjoy watching him fail. I would much prefer not having to watch him incompetently lead so many Americans to their grave. :(

It's horrible. Almost every day I talk to my family in the US, and every day the difference is enormous. With Australia doing so well managing the crisis, and America doing so badly.

Every day it's a comparison between a government that has made strong choices that have thus far averted disaster. And a government who's leader can't go one press conference without acting like a stupid toddler.

i don't think he knows how to fight. he knows how to oppose, lie and double-down.

alasdair

well, whether or not your argument is valid obviously doesn't mean much these days. You can be a fighter without facts. People see Trump harassing reporters and being aggressive with them and they see that as fighting. maybe he will fight for me like that. That's what they're thinking.

Many people predicted Trump would be impeached, removed from office and/or jailed (where's SJ btw?)
I predicted during his inauguration that he would serve 2 terms.

DNC picked the wrong fucking candidate. I actually feel for the good people who are Democrats. They keep getting screwed.

Biden Accuser Tara Reade Says She'll Testify Under Oath if Necessary
Tara Reade, whose accusation of sexual assault against presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden refuses to fade away, said she will tell her story under oath if that’s what it takes to make someone listen.

Reade, who was a staffer for Biden when he was a U.S. senator, has accused the former vice president of sexually assaulting her in 1993. Reade worked for Biden from 1992 to 1993, and has said Biden had kissed, groped and digitally penetrated her during an unwanted sexual advance.

What's really fucked up is that lately I've spoken to Democrats (not on BL) who deflected for Biden by highlighting Trump's comments - as if talking about "grabbing her by the pussy" (consensually) is worse than actually doing it!!!

That guy leveled so much abuse at me that I have very little sympathy for him (but I am curious as to his whereabouts).

Almost of all of his posts were the same - extended rants claiming that Trump would be in jail at any moment.

Yes this is absolutely true. The DNC has fucked over democrats repeatedly at this point.

And I agree with you about the people who are selective in their criticisms based on political affiliation. My my mom, bless her heart. She hates Trump so bad that you literally can't have a conversation about anything with her without her talking about how much she hates Trump. And she supports Biden and thinks he's a better candidate than Bernie because he's too left (she says this as someone who is very liberal). She buys up all the propaganda... I told her Biden is creepy and a sexual predator and she says "he's not so bad, I think he's harmless". I'm like... come on mom, be real. I hate Trump too, it doesn't mean I'm gonna ignore evidence that Biden is bad too.
