@Captain.Heroin That's exactly why the down-to-up redistribution that's inherent to capitalism, but really has set in on a new level since the rise of neoliberalism in the 70s, has to end!
When enough people are getting layed off, when people start hungering for real, shit hits the fan. I hope then finally insurrections start to arise. People are fed up with this shit, but most are deeply indoctrinated. They think they hate mondays, but in reality they hate wage-slavery. When enough people start realizing that pretty much all the problems they face now can be traced back to their root cause, which is capitalism, they will start to organize and resist.
We already have seen, that homeless people as well as people that have been recetly evicted, organized and started squatting empty homes.
I mean why not? There are more empty homes than homeless people. Why speculate with that, when the basic needs of people are not met?
Why is more food that's perfectly fit for consumption thrown away, than people need to not hunger?
Jobs in critical infrastructure for minimum wage and without hazard pay and/or PPE? GTFO!
People start realizing that things have not to be this way. And since Bernie dropped out, for many people the last hope died. I hope sincerely that great improvements to society will happen. All we need is for the working class to regain class consciousness and organize. Both is already happening.

What will the 1%, or let's say 0.1%, because those are the ones that made their riches by fucking the rest of the world over, as well as through slave labour (whether wage-slavery in industrialized nations or real slave labour abroad, or even through prisoners in the US), do, when people start knocking on their doors? They're outnumbered so massively, they can't escape our revenge.

If not now or in the next few years, then surely when the ecocide carried out by politicians in the pockets of oil billionaires, etc., will get so dangerous for the average person, that they're forced to not longer look away, who really is responsible. This will be in 1-2 decades max.

Well I'm Jewish so I guess I'm the most qualified to make that (in your opinion exaggerated) comparison?
I was once told that Nazi Germany was a "trial run" and evil reinvents itself in different ways often when and where you least expect it.
I don't know if it's "the Jews" or maybe a sub-sect of Judaism that masquerades under the religion. Could be Jesuits, Vatican could be a shadowy group above all those mentioned who are the real seat of power...
All I know is that psychopaths are in charge and that routinely has happened throughout history. The propaganda today is just more advanced, extensive and effective (to many but not all).

@mal3volent Great, they're one of my favourite bands ever! A friend of mine introduced me to their music (as well as opioids) about 10 years ago. Unfortunately he hung himself, possibly due to an amphetamine-induced psychosis, in the locked and secured ward in a psychiatry two months ago... So now they're even more significant for me.

@PtahTek I try to distance myself from analyses that contain the word "babylon", because I think it oversimplifies things ad especially puts them in a religious context, which I as an agnostic, cannot approve. But I think we're basically on the same page here.

This is already a problem. It's why we have so many so-called bullshit jobs, especially things like middle management, etc. It's all to keep enough people working so a) their minds are occupied which is crucial for governments to not have a bunch of critical minds and b) to have enough consumers.
As automatation proceeds, someday a good chunk of labour will be done by machines/robots. What will we do? Too many people without jobs are dangerous. Their minds need to be occupied (thank god there's TV...), but there need to be enough consumers as well.
The solution to this: UBI
I don't hate UBI (in combination with regulations on rent control for example), because it provides a basis where people can start organizing for real without fear of ending up homeless or hungry.
BUT it's main function is to be a band-aid for the collapsing capitalist hellscape, which is why I only see it as a short-term approach. Sure, everyone having enough money to live decently without a job would be great, but we can't stop there!

Well that's a perfect example of ignorance that people display when it comes to landlords. Do you know anybody that can afford to buy a house? I for sure don't know anyone my age (I'm in my mid-twenties) or older (like in their 30s) that could buy a flat or even a house. And you portray it as if most landlords are just people that were involved in planning and construction or anything like that and come by to repair it themselves when there's a problem. Most of the time though it's some big corporation that buys whole blocks or streets and then speculates when they have enough houses to do that with. When there's a problem they call somebody to do it (usually after a few weeks in which you call and write them constantly or simply just don't and wait until you do it yourself). That's not work. I don't like dehumanization, but this really is parasitic behaviour. It's absolutely beyond me how real labour is taxed so heavily while money made from financial trading isn't taxed at all (at least in the EU). Strange how so many ways to make money that are connected to big money have either only low tax or aren't taxed at all, while most labour that actually produces value is so heavily taxed. It's almost as if the rich aren't targeted at all with taxes, while the average person makes up for that loss.. Just strange, isn't it?

And yes, no house just magically appears for people to live in. They are built by working class people that get jack shit for what their work is actually worth. And then some bourgie-ass rich person comes along, buys the house and suddenly they get like 30-40% of your monthly income just because they were rich enough to buy it and you weren't? How come you think that's fair?
Shelter is something every person needs. It's not like people are free to choose to just sleep on a bench or something... Well they are, but that's still a coercive relationship. I cannot stomach how people can think it's somehow freedom of choice whether you starve or buy food, whether you freeze to death in the streets or pay rent, etc.
I can put a gun to your head and you can choose to give me your money, but is that really a free choice?
I hate this mindset as though the actual labour needed to construct the apartment or house is just magically only worth a fraction of actually owning them.
