Never lose faith in a god if you're praying to one Jess you are an amazing person. Faith in onesself, or a god is important - it just is. I realized that in a way I can't even begin to relate. Don't lose faith in that.
But I laugh. Dozens of rape/sexual assault accusers, "you can do whatever you want - grab them by the pussy", cheating on his wife YEAR ONE of their nine year marriage, FAILED billionaire, wasted TRILLIONS of dollars...
if that didn't do it for people, covid19 won't either. You're quite optimistic and missing the sheer idiocy of an American people educated by the American government.
I know that it is coming. I know it, and it makes me very depressed and hopeless. I'll try to feel OK about it. I mean, the upside is if this REALLY IS zoonotic I'll probably watch that racist sack of shit national traitor die of covid19 hooked up to a ventilator on the television. Maybe then I'll have faith in karma, or bad things *eventually* happening to bad people *who did most of the bad shit*... or whatever keeps people who have suffered so terribly in life going on to the next day. But something keeps whispering in my ear HE IS AFRAID OF DYING, THIS ISN'T FAKE BRAVADO, HE'S NOT A BRAVE PERSON HE'S A VERY SELFISH EVIL MAN IN AN OLDER PERSON'S BODY...
If you think he's putting a brave face on, no. I don't think he is. I don't think he's capable of faking emotions (have you seen how angry/irate he gets at the smallest of things?)
I wouldn't call it optimistic.
The pandemic is going to annihilate the economy. The primary thing trump has banked on for reelection.
He is also incompetent, and his "leadership" is likely to cost many lives. Particularly in the older demographic that usually leans republican.
He has flip flopped with the most brazen and transparent lies of his presidency. Telling everyone covid 19 is no big deal one week then that he always thought it was a big deal the next.
Yes his most loyal supporters will dismiss all of this and probably still vote for him. But they don't make up the majority of his base.
Then taking away the Coronavirus you have the things I already thought might finish him. That I don't see people voting for him this time who didn't vote for him last time. While I do see people voting against him this time who didn't last time. Because they believed Hillary would win, but couldn't bring themselves to vote for her. Hopefully fewer will do that this time.
And he only won by a slim margin in the first place.
He could still win. But I don't think it's remotely inevitable. One big thing is to not let the Biden v Sanders issue split the left wing vote.
Even if you hate Biden, if you hate trump more, I'd still recommend voting for Biden.
And believing that it's inevitable that he will win, and not voting because of it, is another danger. He CAN be beaten.
He might be reelected, but I'd say his chances of losing are very real.
