US Politics The trump impeachment thread

I mean the repubs already stated they absolutely won't vote him out no matter what. They also voted no evidence or testimonies to be presented at the trial, even though there is new evidence that has been made available and it is well-known that it is so.

ACQUITTED... as expected from this sham BS. Remember when everyone here was convinced that Russia was the key?? That's all I heard for 3 fucking years. How many more years of this bullshit do the masses require in order to figure out that it's all a well-scripted show? A lifetime?

Just to be clear: Hunter Biden has a law degree from Yale, founded two companies, and served as vice chairman of the board of directors for Amtrak — appointed by George W. Bush, in case you’re wondering.

No experience? No experience?! Fox News would have you believe that because he got arrested for possession once he’s a fuckup. And people believe this on Bluelight?!!!!

Was he privileged? Did his name help him get into Yale and make social connections? Yes, absolutely. Did his father have to threaten anyone to get him a job as a corporate lawyer? Are you joking? Frankly if anything is weird about Hunter Biden working at Burisma, it’s why he accepted the position.

What a waste the left party had bin for 3 years . I can’t believe that there people are not in a uproar that nothing is getting done while spending all there time trying to impeach trump . If I were a tourist with no knowledge of out political system I would think that’s how this country runs . We pick a party and it’s the other party’s job for the next 4 years to oust who the people elected . This is such a disgrace but nope all the liberals out there are still going with the flow and I doubt it will stop here Z very very sad and pathetic to see 🤦‍♂️

were you in a coma during the 8 years of the Obama presidency? "The left party" has been much more amenable to bipartisanship recently than the right party was back then.

There are several bipartisan bills stuck in the Republican controlled senate right now that were passed by the Democrat controlled House.

Too bad the Dems can’t pass anything except USMCA, HR3, and a gazillion other things that have died in the REPUBLICAN Senate.

Too bad Dems in Iowa can't add up, multiply do division and round the result.
The results favoring the South Bender are seriously suspect.

Trump will be impeached again, no doubt, nothing changes, Panem et Circenses.

I don't think the Dems will get it together enough to suceed in either the next impeachment farce or the election.

Unfortunately, I agree with most if not all of this. 😕

Well at the end of the day Russia won and got exactly what they wanted which was to divide us but I'm not sure Trump is capable of understanding this.

Tens of thousands of dollars a month in a poor-ass nation like Ukraine = corruption.

Quid pro quo (the type that isn't worth investigating)

FYI: @SpeakerPelosi destroyed an official government document.

18 US code 2071 states:

“Whoever, having the custody of destroys the same, shall be fined... shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

If Trump broke this law the Democrats would try to impeach him...

FYI: @SpeakerPelosi destroyed an official government document
that claim (i assume you're just regurgitating charlie kirk's feb 4th tweet?) was debunked pretty much immediately. the statute in question covers government records. pelosi's copy of the speech was not a government record.

weaksauce.

A copy of an official WH document and an official WH document aren't the same thing. Also Trump has torn up many official documents while in official meetings in the White House when he has had his temper tantrums.

You are leaving out the part where he only gave out the aid after he got caught and was informed that not giving it out could cause problems for him.
Sorry that doesn't count sorry. So
Also the idea that he actually care about corruption is completely laughable and that whole thing about other countries not paying their fair share is bs. It doesn't take into consideration that military aid isn't the only type of aid one country can provide to another. Many European countries provide lots of money to Ukraine

...the idea that he actually care about corruption is completely laughable...

absolutely. this is a man who used funds - in part raised in the name of military veterans - from his charitable foundation (a "shocking pattern of illegality") to, among other things, pay for his campaign, pay business debts and buy a portrait of himself

yeah. he's all about fighting corruption :\
