I saw somewhere on here someone posted something along the lines of England is a green and pleasant land and not unequal because the time rich list had new people in it. Er hello, the fact that a list 1000 people control more wealth than tens of millions is evidence that the country is unequal. or is the argument that poor people are poor because they don't work hard enough?

If you are concerned about overpopulation you should support Brexit because it's lax immigration policy driving that. Australia and NZ famously have some of the strictest borders in the world and the Tories want to use an Australia style points based system for the UK. So you should be in support.

I think Labour credits people with thinking too little. They expected to win purely by bribing voters with "free" shit and hoped no one would ask where it was coming from. What they don't understand is that the population is not as stupid as Corbyn thinks. The state does not have any money. If the state is bribing you, they are bribing with your own money. Corbyn's tax increases would have hit the entire country, not only "the super rich", the IFS agrees and sure enough we just saw huge numbers of working class people in traditional Labour strongholds vote against Labour and for the Tories.

I'm not going to spend time defending Boris because I'm not a fan of his either. I simply think he is lesser of the two evils when compared to Corbyn.

On what basis is the NZ border "super lax"? You use a points based system like Australia and Canada. This is the strongest immigration policy in the West and it's what Boris wants to adopt for the UK. Consider that all EU member states must allow freedom of movement. Brexit is linked to immigration, denying this is denying the facts. Clearly, the motivation for every Brexit voter was different and individual, so it's unfair to say that Brexit came down to only immigration and nothing else. But at the same time, immigration was and is absolutely a key issue for Brexit overall.

All the things you just listed there, the UK has too. But as for healthcare the point I was making is most Western countries have government subsidised private insurance, whereas the UK has a fully nationalised healthcare service that is 100% free at point of use. As I understand it if you want to see a GP in NZ you have to pay, whereas over here it's completely free. You are speaking like the UK has no social policy but this isn't the US and you are just plain wrong.

What makes you think this does not apply to Labour's socialist policies? If anything I would argue it applies more to socialism than capitalism. Jeremy Corbyn's entire platform was to nationalise everything from energy to rail to internet and hand out "free" money to people, thereby making them dependent on the state for income and services. Everything would therefore be controlled entirely by the state. How is this not being "a slave to the overlords"?

My ideal system would be a small government providing only essential services (police, military, healthcare, etc) while they keep their mitts off everything else, with emphasis on individual freedom. If an individual wants to go take drugs for example they should be allowed to do so and the government should have no right to punish them.

Such a party sadly does not really exist because governments by their very nature want to expand their power, even in the US where they love the idea of freedom they don't have such a government in reality, but it seems to me the closest you will realistically get to it is a capitalist society, while socialism is the antithesis of individual freedoms.
