Think of it like this...just like you and I, every government has secrets. Many secrets are legitimate. Who should determine which secrets are worthy of remaining secret?
Assange? What are his qualifications? Who elected him as the master of national secrets? Assange has appointed himself. I don't trust him with my secrets.

Good question. I'm not too sure but I suspect it depends on the secret. If it's criminal behaviour by a government, it's a conflict of interest for the government to criminalise access to their crimes. It's corruption. It's one main reason we need a free press.

Congratulations, it only took a few years for someone to bring up something legitimately bad about Trump.

I withdrew a large amount of my support for Trump because of how his admin is treating Assange. Makes me accept that there are larger forces at work here involved with censorship, targeting the field of journalism and basically locking people up and torturing them if they ever divulged the evil secret acts of governments.

Doesn't matter who is in charge whether it's Trump, Hillary or Kanye, that shit won't change and will continue to get worse.
