People grow up, read some CIA reports and realize how evil some other national actors are. Even DJT went through that. Iran is a shitshow and I'm glad America has done quite a bit over the years to stand up to them; it hasn't been enough as of yet.
 
maybe. but in my experience for almost everything trump does there's a tweet of him criticizing somebody else for doing exactly the same thing...

I'm tempted to reply that there's likely a tweet from him on nearly every subject, likely a fistful, all pointing in opposing directions. I can't point to it explicitly, but it's just a feeling. Not so much that he spins his positions to contradict himself (though, as you point out, his actions contradict his words) but that he spits out so many words it may be inevitable. Similar to the 1000 monkeys with 1000 typewriters for 1000 years.
