I don't make any decisions based on which "side" it's on. I find myself primarily agreeing with the left at this time, however, because I believe pretty strongly in civil rights and globalism, and in using taxpayer money to provide benefits for the people instead of for the rich. And right now I see the right as largely being against these issues. But I really don't have much respect for either side right now and I think the partisan shit that's being pushed (by both sides equally) is extremely damaging to our country because of the rabid division it's causing between people.

If the democratic party were to swap their idealogical stances tomorrow, I'd have no problem whatsoever switching "sides".

I keep reading stuff about this woman but I have no idea who she is sadly but she looks quite sexy I know that much.
I just Google checked her name & this came up " She has said that the type of socialism she advocates is not that of Venezuela or Cuba but would "most closely resemble what we see in the U.K., in Norway, in Finland, in Sweden".

She is clearly insane & has no idea what the hell she is talking about, I love the way some folks in America class the UK as "socialist" state.
 
^ I don't think many classify it that way. Most including me see them as similar to the US government only with a more open embrace of certain socialist ideals. I mean, I guess it depends in what context you apply the word socialism. In an economic sense, in a political sense, specifically related to Marxism, etc...

Most in the US at least, when making comparisons to certain European countries, use the word in a very general way.
 
Right, so in other words, what she's going for is something along the lines of European democracy where taxpayer money is spent on social services instead of tax breaks for the wealthy and such, rather than something like Venezuela which is problematic.

I think she may not have the firmest grasp on what that would take, but I support the direction, very much. We could be doing a whole lot more for the people (taxpayers) with our country's wealth... right now everyone is paying taxes for a lot of stuff that doesn't benefit or directly harms us (not everything of course)... and the people against social services are screaming that we shouldn't be giving government handouts, but they're not handouts, we've been paying for them all along. That's how it's supposed to work. Right now we're getting robbed blind.
