The 2018 Trump Presidency thread

with respect, i think you have your head in the sand.

on the issue of pronouns, i honestly don't know whether somebody should lose their job for using an incorrect pronoun. maybe.

i'm a guy and if there's an asshole bully at my work who chooses to refer to me as "she" to belittle me and just to be a dick, i'd expect my employer to have my back and require that they refer to me correctly. if your name was "james" but you preferred to be called "jimmy" (for who knows what reason) and asked people to respect that, i'd be a dick if i insisted on ignoring your preference and calling you "james" because that's your name. i'd respect it out of simple courtesy but, i guess, some people just want their desire to be a dick protected :)

Great point! Wow... That was perfectly said brotha!

ANT... Your still here lol?

I've always said he's a piece of shit. On this forum, I've called him a socially retarded insecure man child and a pig. Now he is a socially retarded insecure man child and a racist pig... But, that doesn't change how I feel about his policies.

I'm not an apologist, I just like his policies and I don't think he's doing any harm as president... What are the odds that Grimez is going to come in here - once his ban ends - and try to prove Trump isn't a racist and that Cohen is lying or something? (Please don't do that, Grimey.)

Trump isn't going to be re-elected now. I would bet money on it.

I dont know about Manafort, some kind of investigation of what Trump says and does within his private world or behind closed doors vs what he is like publically?

Is this on point as I utfse later on.

Ummm. Ok. Well the brief exerpts as above, yes he now is looking far more racist.

Ok. I was wrong about something but I don't think Trump is still any more racist than anyone else and still does seem like he needs to realise he is a head of state even when sitting on the toilet at home.

I know for a fact that the public persona or professional front put on by people who have any kind of position is actually just an act they have to do for presenting an image wanted by that persons employer/political party etc.

It's a pain in the arse and pisses me off but I do it at work (mostly) and at home with mates do have room for a joke or two that would be pretty much bannable here or stackable at home, I dont see the point in pretending to be someone I am not, just dont throw shit around like can happen in some crowds as know not to .

I'm pretty sure Trump now is even more of a schmuck than I first thought and mo he is not the more "honest liar" than clearly fake image previous opponent Clinton.

I dgaf if shes racist, or if this digging around happens to all politicians, shes not in power so who cares I also really dont care what Trump says privately in his down time or what channel his wife watches or any shit that's really no ones buisness gets said.

He has adopted some type of character and is not just himself.

I'll have to look into this "I recall trump saying to me blah blah" thing , but if it's the same thing that exposed Trump's wife's choice of tv channel, then it's not worth more than a glance. I hope if any of it includes the other persons part of the conversation, what was going on at the time and the background history.

It's clearly looking bad for Trump as he would have not had his public image on display, maybe he thought he could speak freely in private, I dunno.

Isnt saying one thing in private and another in public pretty much what everyone does at some point?

It happens here, so what's the difference?

Like the f word flies freely elsewhere yet not used here so what does that make some people here?

Ok he is a racist sexist thoughtless idiot, or selectively being portrayed as one in the same way as that other bloke was seen as a rapist just before his State Judge appointment.

To the best of my knowledge JGrimez has been banned again. It'll be a while. With how bluelights infraction system works, once you've got enough infractions and warnings and such already, it really doesn't take that much at all to be hit with long bans. It'll probably be a few months.

Sigh, he'd only JUST had his last ban expire.

COHEN CLAIMS...Trump said ...

[Cohen] The rally looks awfully vanilla on television.
[Trump] That's because black people are too stupid to vote for me.

8( omfg

hey cap'n, you know i like giving you the benefit of the doubt. i got to clarify cause i'm a dope like that.

you use the word "claims", just wondering if there is anything to back this up.

sounds too good to be true but would love something solid to hold up and say "see, see, this is why politically"

^ Right Cap I am confused, what is the background of this quote mate, Im looking around for some more detail or something on it but all I get is the boring Russian crap, obv important but not what Im looking for, what has this quote got to do with that?

Righto theres this article about that, I retract my previous thought hes more racist than the average person of his age and background, Im not saying he is the most on racist person around but its very rare that anyone actually admits to being a racist in any way to justify the amount of accusations of racist.

Certainly, Cohen is aggrieved, and his credibility has been questioned by the president, his lawyers, and others. His allegations could inflame the very divisions that he’s said he wants to diffuse. Through the president’s public attacks against him, he stayed silent, as his lawyers advised, and he’s taken a risk in sharing these recollections on the record. When I asked him why he was coming forward now with such uncomfortable claims, Cohen was clear: he knew that the president’s private comments were worse than his public rhetoric, and he wanted to offer potential voters what he believed was evidence of Trump’s character in advance of the midterm elections.

During our conversation, Cohen recalled a discussion at Trump Tower, following the then-candidate’s return from a campaign rally during the 2016 election cycle. Cohen had watched the rally on TV and noticed that the crowd was largely Caucasian. He offered this observation to his boss. “I told Trump that the rally looked vanilla on television. Trump responded, ‘That’s because black people are too stupid to vote for me.’” (The White House did not respond to multiple requests for comment.)

This conversation, he noted, was reminiscent of an exchange that the two men had engaged in years earlier, after Nelson Mandela’s death. “[Trump] said to me, ‘Name one country run by a black person that’s not a shithole,’ and then he added, ‘Name one city,’” Cohen recalled, a statement that echoed the president’s alleged comments about African nations earlier this year. (White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders denied those comments at the time. She added that “no one here is going to pretend like the president is always politically correct—he isn’t.” She subsequently noted that it was “one of the reasons the American people love him.”)

.

*AND* It was Cohen that brought up the "vanilla" crowd. So honestly nah this is just a waste of time, cherrypicking nitbits of stories to provoke a reaction.

I read it as the crowd loojed "boring" as in "hes kinda vanilla in bed", but thats just making a stupud observation about race, thats pretty normal it seems for America, the whole race issue invades everything.

I dont think one person blowing the whistle and relaying exerpts of private conversations is a credible source.

If there were a full trsnscript and recording of every person in govt there would be more compelling evidence of him standing out as racist, the whole point was how much of an imbecile he us, not the racist angle. Keep trying Cap, swing and a miss there. Sorry!

Is there sonething in the public loving the lack of political correctness that much they put him in office?

“God is definitely using Trump to restore America and bring revival to our land,” said cinemagoer Kathy Robinson. “He stands for the common man and protects our freedoms. And he’s a good man himself – not perfect, but none of us are.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/oct/03/the-trump-prophecy-film-god-election-mark-taylor

The Trump Prophecy is a Christian drama film. It tells the story of Mark Taylor, a retired firefighter who believes that, in April 2011, God told him that Donald Trump would one day become president of the United States. The movie also portrays how Taylor's words helped inspire a prayer movement during the 2016 election. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trump_Prophecy

@spacejunk: there was another movie right next to this one for antifa, something about how the deaths at the charlottesville protest were planned. both movies side by side... this is bullshit! smh. :|

I think I'm gonna be sick

^ Watch his latest immigration commercials; when talking about the wall, a Hispanic criminal (in prison) makes comments, and it says he'll (Trump) will protect us, implying all immigrants or Hispanic people are violent criminal

This man is poison. It won't surprise me if the cdc supervises his next trip to the red state of Atlanta

I'm sorry, the man's sick, and he's already made it harder for the poor (check his policies, or try being poor) Piece of crap. With an S

People with brown skin are NOT parasites. They come here and most of them work hard as fuck. His scare tactics will not work because good ALWAYS outweighs bad. Everything done in the dark will be brought to the light.

Trump is a very dangerous and horrible human being. We need to take everything that he says seriously. Please go out and vote.

Vote.

^ Watch his latest immigration commercials;
i saw one during football last night and it felt like one of the 'citizenship' infomercials from starship troopers. we are truly living in a surreal time.

re: the troop deployment, it's just insane to me. when the 5200 trump is dispatching join the 2000 already there, there will be as many there as currently stationed in iraq and syria combined.

ret. gen. colin powell: "I see no threat requiring this kind of deployment..."

other military commentators also weighed in. retired lt. gen. jim dubikdescribed trump’s description of the migrant caravan as an “invasion” as "wrong". ret. col. paul yingling said "this operation is a political stunt..."
