Political Satire and Meme Megathread

Just gonna ignore Hillary's mentor from the KKK? Double standards.
Minorities are leaving the racist Democrats in droves.
Keeping certain groups in a perpetual state of victim mentality/welfare dependence is racist.

Since you keep bringing that up... a very cursory googling brought this up:

It’s also true that Robert Byrd was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s and helped establish the hate group’s chapter in Sophia, West Virginia. However, in 1952 Byrd avowed that “After about a year, I became disinterested [in the KKK], quit paying my dues, and dropped my membership in the organization,” and throughout his long political career (he served for 57 years in the United States Congress) he repeatedly apologized for his involvement with the KKK:

“I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times … and I don’t mind apologizing over and over again. I can’t erase what happened.”

In 2010, even the NAACP released a statement honoring Senator Byrd and mourning his passing:

The NAACP is saddened by the passing of United States Senator Robert Byrd. Byrd, the longest serving member of congress was first elected to the U.S. House from [West Virginia] in 1952 and was elected Senator in 1958. Byrd passed away this morning at the age of 92.

“Senator Byrd reflects the transformative power of this nation,” stated NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous. “Senator Byrd went from being an active member of the KKK to a being a stalwart supporter of the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and many other pieces of seminal legislation that advanced the civil rights and liberties of our country.

“Senator Byrd came to consistently support the NAACP civil rights agenda, doing well on the NAACP Annual Civil Rights Report Card. He stood with us on many issues of crucial importance to our members from the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act, the historic health care legislation of 2010 and his support for the Hate Crimes Prevention legislation,” stated Hilary O. Shelton, Director of the NAACP Washington Bureau and Senior Vice President for Advocacy and Policy. “Senator Byrd was a master of the Senate Rules, and helped strategize passage of legislation that helped millions of Americans. He will be sorely missed.”

I realize it's snopes and you guys don't trust snopes, but they have sources for the quotes that you can check.

Criticising the president isn't "ignoring" anything. It's really lazy deflection.

I like Frank Zappa and he's definitely out there, but his opinions about most things are unimportant to me. He even hated the Beatles for Chris'ake. Though, We're Only in it for the Money was a damn good album.

Also, where on earth were you schooled that you didn't learn about the constitution in history class? I was literally in a high school classroom last month and the kids were studying the 18th amendment that day. Not to mention, I recall learning a great deal about our government in school.

That isn't to say that kids learn anything; however, they are being taught. Youth of today are just like the youth of any era, absolutely disinterested in history and context.

The meme was about Hillary. The ignoring is of her racism.
You seem quite vocal about racism. Care to condemn her racism or?

*but Hillary's felonies.

You don't care about the law, it's just a tool to be abused to attack people that you think threaten your interests.

the standard response to criticism of trump's legal issues seems to be "but, but hillary did bad things!". it's a curious response as it just seems to agree that trump did equally bad things...

it would be great of the two could be decoupled but, in my (admittedly limited) experience) many trump supporters are incapable of doing that.

alasdair

The reason why is because the left are glossing over, defending or just being ignorant of felonies from their ex-leader, but going after Trump with accusations and no evidence.
This is proof they don't care about the law or justice effectively rendering them partisan hypocrites.

The hilary and kkk one is a bit off and so are a few others, racism is racism ironic reversed or whatever youre just digging a deeper hole going there.

For the pro lifers: there is such a thing as failed birth control. Case in point.

so everybody on "the left" is a partisan hypocrite?
No. Just all the people deflecting/laughing off Clinton's crimes yet also obsessively going after Trump.

Anyway can we get some memes in here?
We agree on something

Also re: inappropriate sex with Hillary ^ Cathy O'Brien has accused her and written about it.
MANY others have accused Bill.

I had a Indian customer buy a vehicle from me and they had painted some swastikas in it with some sort of dye/henna like stuff and a few of the service guys saw it and immediately jumped to "OMG, Nazis!" Then I tried to explain what it actually was and they were just like .... "You're wrong l, that's totally a Nazis thing..." At which point I just gave up and walked away shaking my head.
lol

Sorry mods. I just don't get the obsession with gender. Why does it bother you so much that some people have gender confusion? I don't understand. Serious question.

The meme was about Hillary. The ignoring is of her racism.

Care to respond to my post?
