Last night I was hanging out with some buddies and we had gotten exceptionally high, and had gotten pretty hungry. We ended up making "nacho lasagna", which I have dubbed "stoner nachos" this morning upon reflection. Basically we put down a double layer of corn chips on a standard sized baking sheet, covering the whole area, and then on top of that we put clumps of refried beans, clumps of a somewhat spicy red salsa and also of a black bean salsa, chopped sweet red and orange peppers, cubes of faintly garlicy potatoes, chives, cilantro, then lots of grated cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses, then more cilantro and chives, black pepper and chopped garlic, then lightly salted and baked at 420 degrees F in the oven... after a while we realized we hadn't set a timer so we thought it was only appropriate to set the timer for 4:20 and when it was over, they'd be done.
Well, they were done perfectly. After they got out, we put chopped tomatoes and a whole chopped avocado on, and cut out squares with a spatula. It actually all stayed together and you could eat it with a fork, the upper layer of chips was that sort of oily chewy chip texture, and the bottom was still crispy so it made this awesome chip crust on the bottom. It actually turned out quite elegant and was delicious.
I still think it was a stroke of genius idea Delsyd. :D
