Why do people think that the left are just pacifists? I mean, this particular "riot" seemed perhaps misguided, but the left have a history of violent action. Look at groups which emerged in the 60's like the Weathermen, etc.

Wanting social justice and an equitable society without discrimination and with shared wealth does not make you weak. Desiring better gun control does not make you a pussy, it means you are smart.

I don't really support violent action. I've been violent in my times, sometimes for no reason, and I've come to see violence as an easy and cowardly option. I will only respond with voilence in self defence. I think there are better ways, but sometimes conflict and violence are a neccesity. I sense that it is going to become one...:\

There are plenty of things I dislike, disagree with and even hate, but I just can't see myself ever joining a mob and loiter, disrupt and damage property.

Maybe when I was very young like 12-14....but what do these adults actually think they will accomplish?

When it comes down to it is just to have fun and fuck shit up?

To the people on this forum that agree with the marches, and riots......what is the actual end game?

You can reach more ppl and be more productive with an online campaign vs rioting.

I agree that some of these violent protests or riots do seem like an excuse for running amok but there is a real issue being protested across your nation. Its easy to dismiss rioters but what about their aims?
 
The people who riot and act violent don't go to protests to protest, they go to riot and be violent. Typically they're agent provocateurs, undercover cops, sent in to give police an excuse to crack down. Oh, and don't forget that the US literally began with a protest whose entire purpose was destroying property -- nevar 4 get teh Boston Tea Party. There is nothing more American than protesting, even if you have to destroy property as part of the protesting. like it or not, the founding fathers were terrorists.
 
These antifa folks crack me up, as they generally are violently trying to quell free speech. Their act is by its very definition, fascist. The ones at milos event got away with it, largely due the fact that the mayor of Berkeley is a commie, but at least the rioters at the inauguration will all face felony charges.

More often than not the ppl that are destroying and damaging property are provocateurs and undercover cops........8(

Are the provocateurs and undercover cops to blame for children dressed in vagina costumes at women's march's, or the degenerates that bring their kids to slutwalks?

That sounds about as likely as CNN blaming Brietbart for the riot, why can't ppl that align themselves to that kind of ideology take fault when fault is due?

Uh, there is a Royal Commission into child abuse in Australia at the moment.

An inquiry examining institutional sex abuse in Australia has heard 7% of the nation's Catholic priests allegedly abused children between 1950 and 2010.
In one religious order, over 40% of church figures were accused of abuse.
Over 4,440 people claim to have been victims between 1980 and 2015, the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse was told.
The commission, Australia's highest form of inquiry, is also investigating abuse at non-religious organisations.
It has previously heard harrowing testimony from scores of people who suffered abuse at the hands of clergy.

Well, the catholic church repudiates pedlophiles in priniciple and they now claim in practice! However many muslims live in cultures that allow multiple wives including child brides. Also,I am unaware of any sects of Islam which repudiate the prophet Muhammad who took the child bride Aisha when she was six and consummated the marriage when she was nine. I fail to see the irony you raise.

How many Christian sects repudiate Joseph for marrying Mary when she was 12 and he an old man?
