My Dr has finally said he will help me with TRT as my levels are very low. He said he is not going to ever prescribe Testosterone due to the dangers (Never heard of AAS being dangerous, unlike the bloody benzos he prescribed me) Anyway, he said he is going to start me on Clomid and see how I get on, if still no joy he is going to use Clomid and HCG together......Will this work as in raising my Test levels, will I get any side effects as dont want to get even more anxious than I already am! Thanks in advance for any replies/help.

It worked for me. My Total T went up from 250 to 750 on Clomid, but I also suggest getting Ultra-sensitive E2 estradiol test 1 month after being on Clomid because for some people higher T levels result in elevated E2 levels, which can produce gynecomastia. If your E2 levels are elevated, ask for Arimidex or Aromasin, which will reduce E2 and increase T further. Arimidex made my Total T rise from 750 to 1250. That combo can make you feel like Superman, but some people report loss of libido on Clomid and becoming overly emotional. I do not have these problems so it works for me.

Some research shows Clomid is geno-toxic and can lead to cancers, but AFAIK increased chances of cancer on Clomid were not observed even long-term.

It's becoming more popular with some endos mate. You could try it, or seek a better informed endo who doesn't think test is dangerous. There is no chance I'll ever be on it long-term given the known genotoxic risks and total absence of long-term studies in men, particularly given that damage would take decades to accumulate. Neither hCG nor clomid are totally specific drugs either, they both target other tissues in different ways (eg clomid being selectively an oestrogen in some tissues) - whether that has any long-term effect is also up for debate.

Thanks greatly! Interesting about Clomid raising estrogen as my estrogen levels are already high! Bloods are...Testosterone 242 and Estrogen 56. The Dr also said that having a higher level of Testosterone should help my anxiety and ease my Klonopin withdrawal as some idiot of a Dr put me on Klonopin years ago for anxiety but never told me how addictive it is and how it turns on you making you feel worse than you did to begin with, so really hoping TRT will help me.

You know, a lot of substances are genotoxic, even progesterone! Our bodies are genotoxic too - they can't replicate DNA perfectly each time and so far no studies have shown increased chances of cancer while on Clomid. There were studies that showed Clomid was effective even after 3 years of use. Even if you eat whole foods and exercise and avoid as many carcinogens as possible, you will still consume a TON of toxic crap like pesticides, additives, and other random chemicals that are now in meats, fruits, vegetables (which at this point have 5% of their natural nutritional value), and let us not forget about genetically-altered foods... You're bound to get something one way or another.

I strongly advice to take ONLY Ultra-sensitive E2 estradiol tests because they are the only accurate ones and usually show a much lower value than normal E2 tests. If your E2 is still elevated on Ultra-sensitive test, ask for Arimidex 0.5mg EOD or ED, and then re-test Total T, Free T, and E2 Ultra-sensitive in 2-4 weeks to see where you're at. Arimidex should further raise your Total T, Free T, and lower E2 values. It will also prevent development of gynocomastia, which is a possible side-effect on Clomid for men with high body fat and heavy aromatization of testosterone to estradiol.

Testosterone helps a LOT with anxiety - it eliminated social anxiety in me completely. I walk around and act like alpha male by default now - women can literally smell high testosterone levels and kind of taste it in men's saliva. It does feel like cheating though...

Excellent help, thanks :) I was reading up about Clomid on the net, one person has put down that Clomid gave him hot flushes and panic attacks.....I can deal with hot flushes but not panic attacks as thats what I am trying to get rid of! I may nibble a bit off a Clomid tab and see how I feel, maybe the wimps way of doing it but just to make sure it does not have any bad affects like panic/anxiety on me!

That's the first time I heard of someone getting panic attacks from Clomid... It is not a documented side-effect. Testosterone gives you a lot of energy so maybe for an anxious person extra energy = panic attack, ESPECIALLY when coming off benzo's.

Thank you :)

Indeed, coming off benzos, never knew it would be so hard! Interesting you say about Testosterone giving energy as I tried some Test Prop' last year, was injecting everyday, by the third day I felt a bit jittery/nervy/mass energy.....But my sex drive had started to come back after many years of it being so low, was great to have my sex drive back but had to stop the Prop' as could not handle the nervy feeling it was giving me :(

Yeah, I am coming off benzo's myself and when coupled with Clomid, its like you have a ton of energy and yet feel really fatigued. Testosterone increases dopamine levels in the brain, which are excitatory and extra dopamine during benzo WD is likely to create anxiety, but its ALL from benzo WD, not testosterone.
