I get anxiety attacks maybe once a week, sometimes more.
I have no productive way of dealing with them because my health insurance has been cut off so I can't have access to a prescription. :( So I usually just power through it. I have the attack, then have a few glasses of wine to calm my heart rate, and be at peace so I can fall asleep.
I am hoping to get prescribed benzos when I am able to see a psychiatrist, I've heard Xanax works wonders for immediate relief. I know it's not a solution but whenever I have anxiety attacks I find myself longing for pills and it's the most frustrating thing when I don't have any.

Soooo for now, I'm quite miserable with my anxiety but I have found that wine really helps. :)

Build self confidence confront whatever scares u makes u panic , its just panic ur not gonna die etc...

This.

Lorazepam against single acute panic attacs, not on a dayly basis. Opipramol seemed to help over a more difficult period.

You're already on the right track with all that healthy living, meditation and so on stuff. Takes time.

I face them and embrace them, then they are weaker and Im stronger, fear is crucial to our survival, but without reason and logic we wouldnt evolve..but dont try to suppress fear, let it in like a storm,,ride it out, then it will become a breeze
Theres a positive too,try to focus on positive, one time youll see a change and after that moment...I was surprised how it changes the panic attack duration, when you dont fear the panic attacks they become shorter and shallower ,I never believed in God,but I didnt rule out his existence either:)
Dont meditate eat good etc BECAUSE OF FEAR OF PANIC ATTACK...that was my mistake,I did it for the wrong reasons, you do it for your body first to help you deal with panic attacks but it wont erase them, you deal with them personally
good luck enjoy life

calm your self and take more sleep for you, this reduces your physical and mental anxiety and depression.

Ride it out, face it, get angry at it, give it a name (your anxiety). It wont kill you and once you ride out the feelings it gets better. Its so much easier said than done, but i was having anxiety attacks for months, like 5 times a day. I decided to see a counselor, he did CBT and hypnotherapy. The hypnotherapy helped mildly but the CBT helped tremendously. He said "dont go on your phone, dont walk away. SIT DOWN and FEEL it. Let it take over. Because its your bodys way of trying to work things out. Let it do its thing and in time you'll see that it won't harm you. And they'll diminish ". Well they did. Buuuuut, idk if you pass out or puke or anything, i dont. My heart rate goes up and i feel like im going to pass out, but i dont. I would say to see a counselor for CBT. cbt isnt a cure all, but you'll learn the proper techniques to ward them off or make them easier to handle.

Yes, THIS ^^^^^^^

Normally when I don't have a benzo for my anxiety I take a few Benadryl. It's a sedative and will make you sleepy but it works for me as far as anxiety is concerned.

Diphenhydramine, or Benadryl, was one of the first medications found to be an SSRI, albeit weak. I'd imagine this might have something to do with its purported anxiolytic effect.

Green tea has a compound in it which probably helps anxiety.

I've never had endogenous panic attacks, but I have had substance-induced ones.

I have had bad anxiety, though. Singing along to music helped me quite a bit. Also, finding something to do which involves using most of your mind, like reading a hard book, might channel that energy into something productive.

It took a lot of effort, but I found that when I started to eat better/not so much, I could both think more clearly and have a more level mood.

Music, civil service, and keeping busy in general has saved my sanity. Medication comes with it's own baggage but it's not to be feared. You need to help yourself before you can help others. Be kind to yourself most of all. I am not a doctor and I can't say if benzos are right for you. Despite the dangers they can help you get your shit together long enough to work on the underlying issues.

It's not dishonest to get two or three or four second opinions. Every qualified psychiatrist has a different view on things. Keep us updated because we are here to help you and we really do care because so many of us have been there. Stay with us and keep us updated.

Well some MAIO's like Parnate and Nardil have shown to be effective in treating panic disorder. If your anxiety is that bad they might be worth looking into despite the side effects. Anti-histamines like Promethazine and Hydroxyzine work for some people as well. Certain anti-psychotics such as Quetiapine and Olanzapine are also used for anxiety.
