Watched Love - Not bad space isolation type film - dragged a bit, but i guess that goes with the territory - bit 'arty'; not much of a spoiler to say it gets a bit weird later on. Some (eg my female co-watchers) will find it boring but i quite liked it. (i actually preferred it to interstellar the way it only implied stuff, but i'm probably weird (don't take that as a recommendation of this as much as a 'meh' for interstellar (though most people i know IRL loved interstellar so i definitely am weird)
Then watched Hereafter. Film interweaving three stories linked to life after death - including Matt Damon as a psychic (whenever he appears on screen in anything i automatically say 'Matt Damon' in the retard voice from team america). Also a pair of british twin boys with a boozy mum, and a french reporter who has a NDE. The characters were all well drawn and the directing/filming was good looking (clint eastwood) - the opening sequence was excellent. Quite watchable though maybe petered out later. The subject matter might piss you off if you're a boring atheist (non-boring atheists who can suspend their beliefs for a bit should be fine) - the 'science' what there is of it, is well dubious, but it isn't too in your face about it. My female co-watchers (22 and 67) both much preferred this one (even with me shouting 'Matt Damon' every 3 minutes (they'd joined in by the end)).
Finally Mindscape (or Anna) - A troubled bloke who can remote view into people's memories and works for a company who solves crimes and that (i should get a job doing synopses
). Gets a job looking into a young girl's mind and gets more than he bargained for... Mark Strong as troubled bloke; Brian Cox as his boss. Quite good and watchable, though a bit cliched and obvious in places.
(oh btw Felix, that wasn't a deliberate pm blank, just an effective one - i'll get back to you
)
