Anyone with Clevo/Sager experience?

why didn't you overclock the memory ?
P.S.
i'm thinking of getting a pc 4790k and r9 295x2
at first i was going for 970 sli but it turns out that 970 has 3,5 gb of usable memory and for instance dying light which i'm currently playing uses 3.7-4 gb....... so 8gb it is

I won't overclock the memory because that's the easiest way to fry a card. Core can take a lot of abuse but the memory you can't see the temp on.

Dude if i had 980m 8gb sil i wouldn't even consider overclocking it... until i felt the need for that ...........actually if you consider future proofness 980m sli 8gb takes it ,even gtx 980 sucks with its 4gb considering that even last year "Shadow of mordor" has 6 gb recommended on max settings

Let's put it this way. I downsampled The Witcher 2 from 4K by making a custom resolution and averaged 45 FPS. I turned off AA because the downsample looked so much better. I haven't been playing too much because I have been having problems with my eyes.

Well that was nice while it lasted. NVidia locked down overclocking on the new Maxwell cards. I'm glad I got the 980M since they did that crap because if I got 970M cards it would be to overclock them to 980M speeds and save some money.

well shit

We worked around it with a modded vbios but nVidia is not doing so great with their PR right now between locking out overclocking on the driver level then saying the March drivers will return the feature just to turn around and ship all new cards for Alienware and Clevo with locked down overclocking no matter the driver on top of the 970 desktop class action that was filed... Come on AMD...

Yikes now I'm glad I didn't wait for the 970 when I built my system. The class action means the 970 should see a price drop soon to fight the bad press right? Here's hoping at least :D

Amd is releasing their 3xx cards soon to combat nVidia so prices should drop anyway.

On the mobile front, nVidia has decided to reverse their overclock blocking on both the vbios and driver levels. Once the current shipment of cards is gone, they'll all ship with an unlocked vbios as they did previously and the driver release this month is going to have the block removed.

Now if they will give us DSR like the desktop cards I'd finally be happy.

Wow! Your benchmark score is very impressive compare to mine one. I own 980M pair with 4930MX but cannot get like what tou guys get. My firestrike hit only 8200 max, 3Dmark11 get only 10K and even worse with 3Dmark05 got only 28K. What's wrong with my rig? By the way, my system is Clevo with Dell 330W adaptor no mod. I noticed that my power suppy cannot support maybe It did not provide full power? Any suggestion?

Why are you not using a genuine Clevo PSU for one and two, have you flashed the vbios with an unlocked one and overclocked it?

330W PSU runs my rig @ 4.2GHz with those cards overclocked so power shouldn't be an issue.

Is it a P3xxSMA machine?

My machine is running Prema Mod system BIOS and also his unlocked vbios. Voids the system warranty so I wouldn't recommend doing either unless you know how to revert back to stock for warranty service. If you search Google for Prema Mod, you will find it. If you just want faster graphics, when you get to his page, go to the MXM vbios section and follow directions.

strange on a single 880m i get http://i.imgur.com/9pT27eY.png. check your system for viruses or errors ,update latest drivers and bios , check if sli is working ,force nvidia sli indicator in nvidia inscpector to see if its working properly ,get second adapter overclock cpu gpu after you get the second adapter
