Answers on a postcard please. At first I thought it made mine better, but that was in the beginning and I think it was just because the levels hadn't built up in my blood. Now that I've been on it a while I just feel numb :/ Even the hottest things that used to get me off just make me feel meh. I'm already tapering, I'm on 1.5 for the second day now after weeks of 2-4. I'm just wondering if it made anyone else feel the same?

Ugh, I can't wait to be off everything and just be a normal person who feels.

I think subs, along with opiates, lower testosterone and raise progestin, which affect hormones. I'm pretty sexually fucked right now also. I've been faking orgasms because i dont want to feel like my lady is doing anything wrong (she's not). It sucks.

Yes, almost as badly as methadone did. This is one of the main reasons I never considered using it long term. You see males complain about it more often but I've talked to quite a few females on bupe who have the same problem.

Yes definitely. And it made my dick limp sometimes. Most of the time I just wasn't interested in sex

Its nice to know its not just me, although I wouldn't wish this feeling on anyone. I know methadone and dope do it but i didnt think subs would because they only partially activate the receptors. Shroomster im the same, ive been faking with my partner lately cos i dont want him to think its him. It sucks.

I guess the only cure is to taper off, and im trying, but right now its 3 am and ive barely slept. I told myself id only taken1.5 mg yesterday and i kept to it but the lack os sleep is annoying. Im trying to wait til 7 am to dose for the day, but part of me thinks i should just take itnow so i can sleep.

my estrogen was FUCKED up using opiates and other drugs for 6 years, i mean it was higher than a women's average levels. my testosterone was HALF of the normal levels for a 21 year old male. i didnt have to go on test replacement per se, but i went on an estradiol inhibitor, basically inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. which made it alot better for a while, but then i relapsed.

i try to take natural estradiol inhibitors being that i dont have a prescription for anastrazol (estrogen inhibitor). green tea (ECGC), flax seed (and other phytoestrogens) , stinging nettles, limiting CO2 intake (smoking), staying away from alcohol and drugs, exercise and lessening fat, etc.. all help decrease estrogen conversion.

I know of quite a few people are resorted to test replacement therapy after being on opiates long term because thy never recovered

yep this is me...even after getting off opiates my sex drive has never recovered, even after being off for 6-7 years..i think i will have to go trt if i want to improve..i never realized the long lastin negative efffects that opiates give you aside from the addiction problem..

for me I still had a sex drive, but it would take me 30+ minutes to reach orgasm

during the withdrawal from buprenorphine, the drive was insane, six times a day, and I would reach orgasm in 5 or less minutes (more like 2-3)

now I'm finding I last about 10-15 minutes but I still have the drive of 4-6 times a day 8(

just my personal experience, your mileage will undoubtedly vary

I've been on buprenorphine since 2007, and my sex drive has been up and down---although I've always been a really sexual dude. but granted, I am only 30. I was abusing etizolam and butalbital (1600mg/day butalbital, upwards of 125mg of etizolam a day) since 2009 (w/ a period of soma use, 40 350mg's a day from '09-'11.. then i transitioned to the butalbital when carisoprodol was put into sch. iV)---during this time, until i tapered off in sept '14 I had zero sex drive.

Well, compared to that? I can go 3 times a day now (still on 4mg buprenorphine/day), but granted, I've supplanted my sex drive w/ a minor GABA-b agonist, phenibut. However, I've stayed at 2-4g a day for the past 6 months.. higher doses just make me anxious as hell and literally give me zero euphoria. I've read that phenibut actually raises testosterone & HGH levels, was on a body & mind forum for dietary supplements but wasn't referenced. Would love to see any further information on this.

Nope I actually feel pretty normal on 2mg/day bupe. When I was on methadone I had zero sex drive but bupe seems different in that regard. Still think it sucks to have to take this shiite so I'm trying to get off it which will most defintely make me a min. man for a bit.

2 kills it for me :/ im trying to cut down, and when i take 1 mg a day lately its a lot better (though not normal), but i keep taking 1 for 2-3 days and saying "ok im going to take 2mg but just today, which ends up lasting a few days...

Seriously though im so tired of how opiates make me numb, not just sexually but in every way... But when i get to a low dose i just feel so down and empty i end up going back up. I guess i just need to bite the bullet & jump off.

Just have to be careful w/ phenibut b/c it does have its own withdrawal profile. People say it can be sedating & euphoric, but tbh for me, it has zero positive qualities (not even really on anxiety---but thats coming off of an absurd benzo and barbiturate habit, see above, so nothing really compares to the anxiolysis i'm used to). The only positive qualities I find in phenibut is the sex drive increase, and i've found zero tolerance to this effect. Months later i'm still fine to use 2-4g daily w/ the same increases in drive and erections.

I just started TRT with topical test 3 days ago and I can already tell a difference. I hadn't ever really considered TRT before I only tried it because a friend gave me ~1 years worth of Androgel for free so I figured why not try it. I'm glad I did.

Last time I got blood work was while I was still on sub maybe 18 months ago and my total testosterone was in the low 300s.
