Population Control

If it's really an issue for debate, my former username was bardo5. I didn't like having a number in my name and "bardo" was taken. Someone in tc kept calling me bardeaux, and I liked it. So I switched it.

Not really anything else to it.

I don't think words mean the things you think they do. But, please, let's assume you have overestimated me because I'd love for you to explain how changing the spelling of one's name is patronising or shows disdain for others

I think droppers pleb mind is referring to some sort of french aristocracy reference with the name bardeaux.

On topic-

I read a book called Freakonomics, and in the first chapter the author(s) explain how the legalization of abortion led to a decrease in crime.

An interesting read.

Actually both definitions work depending on the context. In this context, both are applicable though.

How is that you can not understand that people view things subjectively and as a result different people see things DIFFERENTLY? I'm not the one that said he was condescending, but I can see how one could feel that it is. It's not my fault you fried yourself with drugs and can't feel anything BP, you did that to yourself, and now here you are trying to make up for your lack of feelings by being the ultimate white knight crusader.

I'm not the one that said he was condescending, but I can see how one could feel that it is. Honestly I think people with only positive traits should be able to breed. The rest that are deemed undesirable should be sent to isolated institutions or "camps" away from the other people. Also the men and women should be kept apart to ensure there are no offspring. In the off chance somehow one of the women becomes pregnant there should be a mandatory forced abortion. This will ensure that there are eventually fewer people on earth and the ones that are will be genetically superior.

It was basically sarcasm against some of these so called liberals or whatever they want to be identified as basically calling for eugenics, much in the same way Hitler did. And I'm being completely serious here.
 
Eugenics is real and in practice it has been for quite some time ! as far as the 500K thing is not far fetched ! i know for a fact that there are study's being done that are calculating what the world would be like if there were only half a million people in the world. i also beleave the immune system of planets can self correct but the problem of this is the self correction will leave only the most basic organic chemistry behind. there are some real changes happening to the world and western culture, just not the change people thought they were voting for!

I was the one calling for an extermination age to be introduced and I can assure you I am far from liberal (or left wing if you wish), and to be fair I'd line you and your family up against a wall without a second thought if I thought it would help my children's future.
 
I could be wrong, but I don't think it was a threat. I completely agree. If it is my own or the other, and I can make a decision on which ends instead, there is absolutely no question.

I'm not sure about killing to simply 'help' my family, though. But I interpretted that in the extreme of help, as in help to survive.

So you think the solution would be something like Soylent Green? It would solve a couple of our problems -- Old people with solid jobs who refuse to retire and thus keep the younger generations from having those solid jobs, Old people who have retired and have expensive health problems are a burden on the health care system, old people who are bankrupting the social security and pension systems.
