Oh dude, don't remind me of that. That's one of the grossest stories I've ever read, and in my head it's gotten combined with all the other nasty abscess and gangrene stories from that thread.

That's exactly what it is. Right before I went to rehab for benzos I was Rx'd 2x10mg Valium/day for my general anxiety, plus another 2x2mg Xanax ODT for panic attacks. Kind of like the ER/IR combination for pain management, except in reality the concept doesn't translate to benzos, and you end up just being sedate as fuck and not even noticing...
 
^It was spectacularly gross. I somehow deleted a story in a post of mine in there about a coworker in Denver bursting a abscess on a machine we were working on. The smell was indescribable.
The benzo thing makes sense on the face of it. But yeah, like you're saying, it's just adding more load to a load. Regardless, I'd like to grab those two scripts. I miss just my Klonopin script...

3 weeks back on subutex and I'm not going back! Such a pleasure being a healthy, horny, happy man.

95Land do you still live in CO? I am moving there in the summer and am psyched to be in my favorite state in the union. Has been all positive experiences there ( ok, a lot of sex and live music )

...except 1 night...Our African taxi driver was driving like a maniac, speeding and weaving! He had a license, so he must have been on some crystal...or khat! : )

^I don't still live there but I have mostly fond memories. Tons of shit to do. Outdoorsy type shit and of course shows, city type stuff. Just watch out for the shards and the BTH. It's everywhere. If you've spent time, you probably already know. Have fun. I'm mildly jealous.
 
Tomatalli hasn't check in with us since yesterday morning when he had his undies in a bunch because he fell asleep and when he awoke he found it necessary to do "another 8 bags" and was "barely even feeling a little high." How you doing today, bro? Hopefully you're tied up at the admissions office of the mmt clinic.

Muhahah bingo!! Same dude. He had great stories but you had to listen from afar to avoid being splashed by his disease and pus soiled bucket full of tepid water he would vigorously rinse his rotten leg with.

He still haunts me as well. Actually hes probably dead, but hopefully i did him justice by entombing his story into the pages of bluelight.

Hah yeah for real. And if he's not, I think some of us should make a special BL field trip to see Tomatalli and drag his fucking ass to the nearest clinic.
 
for real. when you have a forum full of fuckin drug addicts telling you you should quickly do something about your habit when you're only 18 then i believe its time to go. lol

Haha this made me smile. Good luck at your counseling meeting today smoke. Tell 'em like it is and maybe Wednesday the doc will not hesitate to put you back on the subs.
 
lol. thanks man but im not going today cuz they're closed cuz of the snow but im gonna call tommorrow and either get my counselor to let me have my session before my sub appt on wednesday or to have it after and just talk to him on the phone, lay my plan out and see if he will go with me. Dude had me on subs before so i dont see why he cant put me back on again. there was only one week where i was noncompliant and didnt get my subs so i know what to do and also its more structured so i dont see why he would have a problem. I think he didnt want to write me more cuz he thought i was gonna stay on the shot and you cant do both at the same time.
 
Tomatalli...... Do you have anything against methadone? Have you ever tried it? If not I think you might be pleasantly surprised. Methadone feels a lot different once you are stabilized on a dose that you take everyday. It is actually quite satisfying. I think you might find it to be more fulfilling than you imagine. Once you are stabilized I think you will find a lot of interesting stuff to do when heroin isn't demanding all your attention. Just something to think about.
 
I know it's in good faith and his best interests to help Tomatalli out and I got nothing against him cause he seems like a good dude, but don't we all know from experience that he isn't gonna do anything about stopping heroin until he's ready good and ready in his own mind. He knows it's bad for him and I know we're just trying to steer him in the right direction at a young age, but I'm sure most of us have been in his shoes. From what I've seen, outside pressure to get someone to stop using rarely leads to solid clean time especially once the pressure is removed.

I don't mean to go against the grain guys and if something we say to him gets through and he stops using heroin then that's great, but we all know how that shit usually plays out.
 
^I hear ya, but it's not like we're telling this kid to move to a monastery in Brazil, take the vow of celibacy and become a priest(i.e. quit opiates), we're telling him to go on methadone so he doesn't do something stupid and get himself in legal troubles that he'll have to deal with for the next ten years...and Methadone is 5x easier than quitting everything straight up...

Absolutely. I'm just trying to do a small part to keep the kid alive until he makes us all proud and seeks a legal alternative. It seems like most of this threads population want to prevent a young man from losing his youth- Toma I know you are aware of that, but it bear repeating- These are uniquely special years you're in- ; ) treat em as such and you won't have regrets. <3
