Yet another perfect demonstration of the fact that gun crime is a social problem, not a gun problem.
 
I stand by the position: only a Tyrannosaurus Rex has a natural right to bear small arms.

Anyone else with such desires are compensating for being ill equipped in intellect, physical strength and/or sexual endowment to handle real life without the additional help.
 
People are silly. They get so grounded into their opinions they refuse to accept anything else as true. Guns aren't good, they aren't bad. They're guns, they do what they're supposed to.



Should there be more restrictions on guns in general in America? Yeah, probably. Should the average citizen still be allowed access to "deadly" weaponry, especially if he has no intention to kill with it? Yeah, I think so.
 
I am anti-gun control i just think it's retarded that Americans use the second amendment as a excuse to own guns. The constitution was written in a completely different era then the one we live in so i see no reason why that should be used as a justification to own a AK-47 or some shit. I think that the right to protect ones self and their families is reason enough. Granted where i live a baseball bat would be good enough 99.9% of the time. Of course nobody is going to go back to say using muskets and that's not what i meant. I just think the second amendment is not a real justification for owning guns. In Canada we have nothing like the second amendment but we are still allowed to own semi automatic handguns, semi automatic shotguns and semi automatic assault rifles. Really the only differences are you can't carry a handgun on you (i agree with this actually atleast for Canada the US is a different story), the magazine capacity on assault rifles and i believe handguns as well is legally only 5 rounds i think and you can't own fully automatics. Well that and the totally retarded way they have of choosing which assault rifles are banned. A semi automatic assault rifle is a semi automatic assault rifle whether it's a AR-180b or a AK-47. The only differences besides design and price is the caliber. So yeah our gun laws are kinda retarded :p

Your argument is premised of a false assumption. The government can vaporise you with a robotic drone piloted by some spotty kid on the other side of the continent. Believe me, you having an AR-15 isn't what's standing between them and murderous tyranny.

Then how did some goat farmers, addicted to hash and opium, with shity weapons, hiding in caves hold out so long against the greatest military in the world?


Earlier this year 2 dip shits who weren't even smart enough to bring extra food or gas up their car had boston shut down for days.... The one that lived longer was only found because a guy went out for a smoke and noticed the cover for his boat was off and there was blood on it.

Before that a fat Guy with minimal training, a pistol, and a long gun tied up over half of all the police resources in California for a week....

No, that's not the same. His phrase was a complete sentence and your's wasn't making your quote much more out of context. That's common sense right there buddy.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of your country. I am quite proud of the province i come from and i think we should become our own republic which makes me real popular in upper Canada :p . I do think that Canadians in particular bitch about American patriotism way too much. Perhaps it's because that unlike America Canada never really developed it's own distinct national identity so the concept is kind of foreign.

To Escher's Waterfall, how is it simplistic? Because it equated the death of so many people with the fact gun control was implemented onto this same population? Well think about this, the people they were killed by were well-armed. Perhaps being armed would have helped these people defend themselves from armed people. But that's just conjecture.

I do not totally disagree with you. However, it is a sick world we live in and although I own a gun, it is not for the reasons you listed nor do I believe those reasons are for why people own them in general. Although I'm sure some do, it sounds more like the punch line for a "You might be a redneck if..." joke. If you ask gun owners why they own a gun, you'd likely get a broader spectrum of answers and reasons than you think (whether you and I agree with them or not is beside the point).
