I wasn't even trying to get a job and I got one.
WTF?
I got a callback about that job toady! Im one of ten finalists for a couple positions, 2nd interview is on thursday.
If I get it ill be moving by myself to a new city in NorCal really far away from anyone that I know. Its kind of a scary thought, and it will probably be hard at first, but I think im ready for something new. It starts at about 45k a year with full benefits. The cost of living in the town is also pretty low, so as a single guy ill have more money than I know what to do with.
I've never understood the banning of entire breeds of dogs in entire municipal areas. I can understand a homeowner's association not wanting big dogs running around, but entire cities?
Pro: It's important that our policies be based on solid research. We don't want to summarily execute thousands of family pets because of an over-reaction to newspaper headlines.
Anti: My opponent wants to place us at risk for the sake of "research". [must pronounce research with as effete a voice as possible] Let me tell you something commissioner: OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT YOUR PERSONAL SCIENCE PROJECT!!!

a magic wand.
edit: either that, or i think the chinese model can be a good starting point. if you apply that kind of structure to a society with a lower population, and less historic and cultural paranoia, it could be workable.
What sort of job?

who said anything about an aristocracy?
