I was so exhausted from the 1100 mile ride down that I didn't want to be anywhere near my bike for the 2 days I got to be in Nashville and then it was time to come home. It wasn't a long enough vacation :( There wasn't much time to do anything outside of the city.

I fell with it. I thankfully slowed it down enough that we went down fairly easy. We slid towards the right shoulder. As I was losing control I was getting passed by a tractor trailer. I thought I was toast. Thankfully when my boyfriend realized that something was wrong he slowed way down which kept the cars from getting close to me. Given the circumstances, I couldn't have laid that bike down any better if I tried lol
 
I've been riding for 13 years and this was my first accident. I'd say it is a little premature to throw in the towel. I guess everyone who gets in a car accident should stop driving and all y'all using drugs should stop too because using can kill you.

Riding a motorcycle is a huge rush and exhilarating feeling for me so no, my bike isn't going anywhere. I don't live in fear of what *might* happen, I live for today.

Haha pretty much exactly the opposite reason I just bought a bike again. It's the only thing ridiculous enough to excite me, that mind numbing speed and heap of danger is pretty much the one thing in life that makes me happy. And no, I'm not reasonable with it either. I'm that guy that everyone hates- on one wheel at WOT lane splitting in heavy traffic.

My only injuries are some whip lash and a ton of bruising on my leg from where I hit. I will never do that long of a ride again.

My boss and her friends all take their bikes to the Smokey Mts in TN every year, and last year, a couple of them got into a really nasty accident going around a hairpin turn. Two of them had to be air lifted.

Bikes freak me out, man, but all of the ones in the accident and not got right back on and started riding again. If you love it, you love it.
 
I swear there is a curse in TN. Last year my boss totaled his van in Tn, I just crashed my bike, and the accident of your boss and friends. I don't think I will ever ride in TN again lol Maybe Memphis cursed me ;) (I keed, I keed)

I have literally met people from all over the world because of this hobby, I couldn't imagine giving it up. I am an extremely cautious rideer (unlike recky lol) but they aren't called accidents because they happen on purpose.
 
Damn PFF that's some scary shit. I'm glad you made it through pretty much unscathed. How's the bike looking? Is she gonna need a lot of work? When it was happening did everything seem to be going in slow motion?

Go Bs. Could be a tough one tonight being away. I sure as hell don't expect to sweep em like we did to bitch ass Crosby and the penguins.
 
The bike just needs two new tires, a windshield, a new left blinker, and my floorboard needs to be welded so it can be reattached. There are some scrapes on the front fender and on the gas tank. The damage to my bike was pretty minimal and so far, no mechanical damage.

Things definitely felt like they were moving in slow motion. I'm sure it was a matter of seconds but it felt like an eternity to slow the bike down and get it over to the right side of the road.

Yeah that sucks. I've only crashed once. I flipped over a cab door in the city. Luckily I wasn't going to fast so I was fine but my bike was fucked.

Too bad. Loved that thing. It was an old 80's sportster harley.
