truth be told guns scare the shit out of me, anything that can take a mans life that quick just scares the shit out of me. i have also maybe shot a gun a total of 10 times, only 3 times being a hand gun.

edit: it does scare the shit out of me living here with no gun though, especially the area i am in now. fucking gunshots nightly.my point about the gun bans is no one needs a fucking assault rifle. no one needs a 30 round clip.
you can defend yourself and your domicile with a handgun/shotgun/rifle what have you. you dont need a fucking assault rifle.

eh, i guess im just one of those people who believes gun ownership is a right to protect people from the governement. sure you can protect your home with any ol gun
its sad that people go on killing sprees n innocent people get killed but i wont surrender my right to firearms, (even assult rifles) just out of the fear that some people may go mad and injure innocent people, i mean it really is sad n i sympathize with those who have been victims of shootings. but the gun thing is just so complex, but my main thing is the people should be well armed, in the event of revolution or disasters in which the govt isnt willing to step in (LA riots, Katrina etc) the people have to rely on themselves
but i said it before when the gun thing came up awhile back ago i think it was a different thread, the gun issue is so complex n runs so deep it goes far beyond limiting gun ownership n restricting certain types of guns n amounts of rounds to a clip, all this violence n shootings n stuff of just symptoms of the sickness are society is in, n in order to remedy the situation other things are goin to have to be adressed beyond limiting guns,
prohibition doesnt work, not for alcohol, not for drugs n wouldnt for guns.
n i may not need an assualt rifle, but i always wanted one

And I am very pro gun also. That's fine if you guys don't chose to own guns, but how anyone thinks that it's a good move to take guns away is just completely beyond me. How in a million years could that possibly help any problem at all?? The people who own guns legally are not the ones committing crimes with them. Also, criminals don't follow laws so if you make it illegal to own guns the people who want to use them for bad things will still have them and use them. Plus this Boston thing just proves you don't need guns to kill people, bombs work too... So if you're worried about innocent people being killed by madmen then why don't you just make it illegal to ever leave your home? Restricting guns just because some crazy individuals commit terrible crimes with them would be like saying "well drunk driving accidents kill innocent children, so automobiles are now illegal"

And you explained it perfectly with the part about our whole society being in a bad place. People don't realize. Just taking shit away is not gonna change anything. If people are nuts enough to act this way, you should worry about finding out why and attempt fixing that problem rather than just trying to limit the way they can act as a result of their condition. If you're a killer in the mind and at heart, having it be harder to own a gun is not gonna prevent anything. I mean you're right Memphis in that no one needs an assault rifle or a thirty round mag. I can't figure out how removing these things will equate to less shootings though. The Connecticut tragedy was against unarmed kids and teachers and could've been done with a one round breach loading shotgun all the same. Just because the nut took his Mom's AR doesn't mean that he wouldn't have done the same with any other type of gun. I mean personally I like guns and like I said you're right in that people don't need assault weapons but, they happen to be finely made guns that shoot well and are fun and that's why gun owners like them first and foremost. Taking them away is not some panacea for gun violence. If we woke up tomorrow and all the ARs were gone there'd still be people that are gonna shoot up innocent unarmed folks. They're just going to use a different weapon.
HoL as far as Bin Laden is concerned, we're talking about war time. Personally I think they were sent to kill him and he never had a chance at a trial. Is that wrong though? Maybe he should have been tried in some international court for war crimes but, holding him alive would've surely resulted in more loss of life and definitely resulted in every American outside of the country being in even more danger of being held hostage or worse. Terrorist groups use terror to get what they want and there's no question that they would've upped their intensity to try and get their leader back. Killing him was the only option and he had a much better death than some of his victims and even received a burial in accordance with his religious beliefs.So maybe he should've gone to trial but, it doesn't bother me one bit that he didn't especially concidering whst could've happened if we held him. While we're on the topic I think Kim Jong Un should catch one in his brain too.

And they have amnesty days here all the time. Some of them even give you $50 or $100 to turn it in no questions asked. But people will still kill people regardless if they're crazy enough. Just cause you don't have a gun that you legally bought yourself, you're still going to find a way to kill people if you really want to. Hell, how many people did the Oklahoma city bombing kill back in the day? And how many guns were used? exactly. If someone is a sick enough individual that they find it necessary to kill a bunch of ordinary people for no reason, they're going to do it one way or another. Don't just start taking shit away from people because you don't know how else to solve the issue.
And yeah there's a lot of people that live here, and our country's morals and just mental state of mind (as well as current state of government, economy, all other stupid bullshit all rolled together) are so fucking far down the toilet that eventually people are just going to go fucking nuts and start murdering motherfuckers. So yes, there are some violent outbursts sometimes, many of them happen to use guns. If more people owned guns (and saw them as the useful tools they are rather than being scared of/hating them) I bet even the crazy people would think first about trying to start shooting up the place because they know someone else might be there to put them down before it gets out of hand.Last edited:

pressure cookers are shit anyway. slowcookers are where it's at. i use mine plenty in the winter for shit like meatballs and stews/cassarole dishes. all you do is throw everything in together and let it cook all day and you're left with a mad feed from almost no effort.
