his beats and the way he sounds just take me back to mobb deeps and wu tang and everythign that was coming out of new york well more queens. just the dirty dary gritty beats with classic samples..literally if you took his beatts from today, they would fit perfect on either of mobb deeps "hell on earth" or "the infamous" (im pretty sure he has sampled a few of their songfs and if not he is heavley influenced by them. and for good reason, those 2 cds are in my alltime top 10 rap/hip hop cds. cds that sound better on cassette cause its a dirtier sound and because you dont need to fast forward song and cause they all flow together like one long song. they dont make music like that anymore and what i love about it was that i didnt find out about them cds until over 10years after they were released. i used to work next to a used cd store and was ab le to buy they cheap and instatly feel in love and then i googled it and saw that they are considrede classcs and that made perfect sense..workin next to that cd store really intodeuced me to the old shit that i missed growing up but now consider my favorites like 8ball and mkg and UGK and big PUN..if i wer you i would listen to all them songs by joey starting with "hardknock" and work your way down
