Benzos Taking benzo on FULL STOMACH

Have you guys ever noticed that whenever you take a benzo (i.e. Xanax) on a full stomach, like right after you eat a big meal, that the benzo pretty much has ZERO effect?? Like if you take a xanax bar for instance 45 minutes after a big meal, the xanax will basically have no effect what so ever... Its almost like the pharmacist should put a sticker on the bottle of scripted benzos saying "take on empty stomach." Because the difference b/w taking a benzo on a empty stomach and a full stomach is literally night and day in the difference department.... On a empty stomach, 2mgs of alprazolam will effect you beautifully the way they are supposed to, but on a full stomach its basically like taking a freakin sugar pill, its not even close to a feeling, its like having a full stomach completely defeats the benzo from absorbing... 8o8(
 
Sublingual administration my friend...

Then it doesn't matter what is in your stomach and it hits you faster. :). Just chuck them under your tongue.
 
I asked 2 pharmacists if taking a benzo that isn't designed to be taken sublingually would still work and they both said no. But I have done it with kpins and they seem to work about half as good as taken orally on an empty stomach.

Case in point...take it on an empty stomach for full absorption imo

They lied to you.

Benzo's will dissolve very easily under you tongue and will be on a par with oral administration except the effects hit you faster.

The only benzo that really tastes bad is alprazolam (xanax) but it's over pretty quick anyway.
 
It will taste nasty if that is not how its prepared by the manufacturer. Benzo's are lipid soluble so if you eat them with food in the stomach, they are competing with your meal to be absorbed from your intestines. Either take on an empty stomach, or put on a glove and gently insert to your rear end! The mucous membrane in your rectum is very efficient.

If you insert a whole pill in your rectum it isn't going to work very well, Sublingual and oral administration is so high that there is no point plugging benzos and if you did youd want to make it into an emulsion/solution and insert with an oral syringe.

And actually nearly all benzos are nice sublingually, clonazepam tastes minty, diazepam is quite sweet, as is temazepam. Flunitrazepam and alprazolam are the worst and flunitrazepam is only a little bitter.
 
The Sublingual ROA has proven itself over and over again in medincine with benzodiazepines. Most benzodiazepines taken sublingually are slightly more effective than oral dosing, have faster onset, and aren't as susceptible to first pass metabolism as it bypasses the liver.

I've been relying on the sublingual ROA for benzodiazepines for a long time, if it didn't work well I wouldn't continue to do it. There is no reason for me to waste any calories tampering with the medication for better results, such as putting it into solution for rectal administration.

the bioavailability of triazolam after sublingual administration is increased by an average of 28% compared with oral administration of the same dose, possibly because first-pass extraction is bypassed. Clinical effects of triazolam may likewise be enhanced by sublingual dosage.

The Roche brand of Rohypnol was the sweetest and nicest tasting benzo IME.

(Just felt like adding that, no biggee)
 
OK fair enough.
I have plenty diazepam at my disposal, they work pretty quick when taken orally.
Would a SL dose be that much quicker?
 
Sublingual is the best way to go. It kills anxiety so much faster. You get use to the taste. I even like the taste of Xanax now.
 
i dont find valium particularly well suited to sublingual administration. It is the one benzo that for me tastes bitter and gross, maybe it's just the brand i have but they leave a bad taste in your mouth. Klonopin and ativan have that nice minty taste though. I also wonder how much sublingual use affects the duration.

all diazepam tastes bitter and gross regardless of brand. the easily worst offender is clorazepate though.
and yeah, i miss roche brand rohypnol. take for fucking ever to dissolve (notably longer than most benzos) SL but probably still my favorite benzo. impossible to get these days. a shame really, easily the most fun of the hypnotics.
