Ouch!
A FORMER Hobart nightclub owner had a cocaine package addressed to his dog and delivered to his house from Victoria, a court heard yesterday.

Builder Samuel John Morse, 26, of Kingston, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking yesterday.

He was nabbed in May after the Kingston Mail Centre informed police a suspicious package had arrived.

Drug squad detectives investigated and discovered an ounce 28 grams of cocaine in the Express Post package addressed to "Benji" Morse.

They replaced the drug with sugar, prosecutor Patrick Dixon told the Supreme Court in Hobart, and waited.

Postal workers tried to deliver the package to Morse's address and left a calling card when they discovered he was not home.

He picked it up the next day and opened it during the drive home.

After finding it contained sugar instead of cocaine he threw it out the window, Mr Dixon said.

Drug detectives arrived at his house a short time later.

They learned Benji was Morse's dog and the package was the second such delivery he had ordered in recent weeks.

The first ounce costing $7500 arrived undetected weeks earlier, Morse confessed, after he and three friends put up the money and he arranged for a Victorian-based dealer to supply the drug, which is not widely available in Tasmania.

Defence lawyer Jim Saric said because Morse was the one with the drug dealer contact, he agreed to place the order and planned to store his quarter-ounce share away for future use.

Police could not have charged him over the first ounce had it not been for his confession, the court heard.

Mr Dixon said that Morse refused to name his dealer or provide the bank details he had used to deposit the money until they told him what he was being charged with.

Morse had recently sold his share in CBD nightclub Halo for $80,000, Mr Dixon said.

Mr Saric told Justice David Porter that Morse was very remorseful and had undergone drug counselling during which his counsellor determined he was unlikely to take drugs again.

Justice Porter was told Morse, who was ashamed of what he had done, had led an exceptionally industrious life and was in every other respect an excellent contributor to society.

The judge ordered he be assessed for a community service order suitability before bailing him to reappear for sentence next Thursday.

Although the article doesnt mention SR Id bet my left nipple thats where he ordered the coke.

Don't say nuthin! Better to say 'no comment' 20 times and act like an idiot... Until a lawyer can do the talking.

^ doesn't quite sound like SR?

Curious also as to what attracted attention to the package, but I suppose we won't find out.

Mr. Morse sounds like a fool. Orders to his own address, isn't even home when it arrives, uses a stupid fake name, confesses to another ounce...lol. Also sounds like he gave up his two friends as well as the dealer.

ive been told most vendors from the US are cops and perform stings, this sound right?

I'd find this hard to believe. Vendors in the U.S, in my experience, strictly sell unscheduled RC's, legal ones at that. Performing a sting with a technically legal substance would be a waste of resources. Not to mention, I think it would go against their profession to buy and possess the chemicals in the first place, not only that but to sell them to somebody with the intention of entrapment and busting them? Just doesn't sound realistic.

@homeydontplaythat

I'm with J.Wallace, doesn't sound right at all. Also isn't that the reason SR has a rating system. So if someone does set up a fake account it won't last long. And why people go to the vendors that have plenty of positive feed back and a high rating?

there's also a place called the forums where people discuss that kind of thing, i'm pretty sure if there were cops on it they would have to do several, or 'lots' of real transactions with buyers first to gain trust before they started to preform any stings.

I'm not experienced with SR. I personally go through a specific forum, one which I will not name, and in my experience Vendors are simple one or two man operations, in business to make a little extra money on the side. They come off as a business, but it's really just a person ordering these chemicals in bulk, and selling domestically.

This is one reason I refuse to use SR, it's too risky since it's not domestic. Vendors take most of the risk importing the substances. Once inside the country, it's relatively easy to mail them undetected as it has little to no risk of being intercepted by customs. In my experience, most vendors use USPS, which requires a warrant before opening any packages, unlike UPS or Fedex which can open mail without one.

I worked at a major airport cargo hub in the mid west and the boarder patrol found drugs of all kinds almost every night
The first night I worked there they found like 8 pounds of heroin

I had a roach on me one night that I forgot to leave in my car and they would bring the dogs around almost every night and I saw them come in with the dog and immediately went to the bathroom and flushed the roach, better safe than sorry

They didn't need a warrant or anything, sometimes they would even ask us to help open and then close a bunch of boxes that were pulled for some reason to be searched but we didn't find anything

So you never know I guess, there are literally hundreds of thousands of boxes and packages that would go through there daily, it was maybe even more than that

the whole SR thing creeps me out in that you are ordering illegal drugs. that is just not cool. you HAVE TO GIVE THE VENDOR YOUR ADDRESS and that just makes me uncomfortable. still, the only legal RCs left are shite. what to do?

still, the only legal RCs left are shite.

One word - Methoxetamine.

Also, dissociatives seem to be the best route when it comes to RC's. Stimulants are good, but the come downs are not worth the high. Psychedelics RC's are fun too, but they often feel shallow and lack depth as oppose to the natural ones. Not to mention, a lot of the good RC psychedelics such as the 2c's are banned now.

No you don't.

Unless you have a drop address then you have to give the vendor your address so the vendor can mail you your order.

It is SR policy that vendors delete customers addresses after the goods are sent BUT in the end its upto the vendor whether they do this or not.

I won't go into detail, but there are multiple ways around this - put your thinking cap on ;)

I've also read about people getting in some trouble after a vendor was busted and their details weren't deleted.
