incredible

(I've been holding and rocking my four day old grandson all evening so my daughter and her husband could eat and get showers and run to the store.)

Newborns are some kind of magic. Especially grandbaby newborns. Such total innocence and honesty. I relish this fresh new creation more than any other because I understand at my age what sorts of hard and harsh experiences this perfect little human will have to live through. Sitting with him swaddled and sleeping in my arms, rocking slowly, looking into his face, watching every little expression... I feel incredible.

Annoyed with new neighbors. :| I hope this noise thing is just temporary and will cease when they get fully moved in.

^ Depends on the noise... When we moved here, my friends (who were helping do carpentry work and such) made such a racket late into the night I was sure the neighbors were going to hate me/us. They were done within a week or two and now there aren't any more loud noises.

Stuffed. Was feeling awful but I fed my depression a little. Gotta love sitting down to have a bowl of pasta and realizing that with that second refill you ate almost a whole pound... It's no wonder I used to weigh 200 pounds... :-/

Dreading the coming winter and not being able to wear sandals anymore. :(

Me too. It's still warm enough here but that won't last... then the rain comes and it's all about my wellies... then perhaps some snow if this year is like last year. :|

My word: frustrated. Can't really talk about it beyond that my ex refuses to come to a peaceful resolution for the return of MY DOG and I've had to resort to the court system (civil) to get her back. But relieved to have the support of family and friends, including my star witness who's been there all along. And still poor but not broke.

Excited! Off to play with babies tomorrow! And see me sis for the first time in a good coupla months. But mainly play with babies! :D
