Yeah you can definitely see it. When it happens to my back I kink to one side really quickly and skip a breath. It's hard to explain but very irritating!

Should I try gabapentin again guys?

Pros? cons? I'm even considering trying something like diazepam for strictly as needed relief from muscle spasms.

If you take gabapentin it will decrease opiate serum levels.
Same with Lyrica.

I think nerve. I get multiple small like individual muscle spasms or twitching all up and down my legs.

When I had dye injected in my back it simulated it but 10x worst.

Sometimes you can see my leg muscles rumbling.

was that dye (iodine) for a CT scan? if so it gives off a disgusting feeling in itself.

alright gabapentin is out, and I don't like Lyrica I got a bunch of 300mg caps.

It was a nerve mapping dye I think radiation. They then took pictures and then a ct scan.

I think the dr play a sick joke with prescribing gabapentin. They know it decreases opiate levels and they try to give you the drug when your on opiates. I hear they give you a buzz but it's short lived. Idk. I would take it for opiate wd if I had too.

Hah, leave it to my pain management doctor to try to screw me in yet another way. Lol. Interesting fact on the serum decrease Zoey.

Yeah my nurse friend told me about it. I then looked it up. It's true.

Ok for post #1000 I will use it in my favorite forum Other Drugs and talking to my Favorite Mod,

I'm central standard time baby!! =P

This post has real substance huh?

oh ya, im so happy that your pain has been manageable this evening, even into this morning. You'd think that your boating earlier today might aggravate aches and pains due to the up and down nature of boating lol. However I'm really glad you had fun, I've always always wanted a boat.

I ended up not going today. I took a long nap instead. I felt so relaxed and good. Yesterday or should I say Saturday did take it out of me. I was really tired when we made it back. I feel good now.

I want a pantoon boat now. Our friend had one and it's roomy comfy and nice. They are not that expensive either. They are like a party boat. He went with us. It was cool. I like our boat. It's a 16' center console out board. And it was fun. But I wanna place to lay down when I'm hurting and a place to tan.

I was prescribed it back in college... I didn't really like it though. It really worked for shooting nerve pain, but it fucked with my head a little too much. Made me feel dissociated and confused to a certain degree, possibly even messed with the ole happiness transmitter, our good friend serotonin (not in a good way). This is just my experience of course. I think unless you have serious nerve damage/pain then you might be better off without it. You say "try it again", did it not work well and/or did you have negative side effects before?

Agreed. I've literally tried almost every muscle relaxer the US has to offer and prefer soma.

I have a lot of weird little spasms where my limbs and back tense for the length of a second and release. It happens all day long. Even while taking gabapentin and soma. It's painful. Kinda like a twitchy cramp that changes in location every time. Do you guys think this is muscle or nerve related? My dr didn't really respond when I mentioned it.

Ya know what, I think you might benefit from a couple lesser known muscle relaxers: 1) skelaxin (more of a skelatin to muscle relaxer) and 2) parafon forte

I've taken both and while they didn't work that well for me but might benefit you.

Just a thought!

I've tried skelaxin but not the other. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it.

Yeah man, I'm also in a fair degree of pain, might not be as bad as yours. Resistant fybromylagia and various surgical complications, and I still have my mom treating me like a junkie, I find the less people I tell about my pain meds the better, particularly oxy. Not abusing my meds is a challenge though I won't lie.

I believe that is specific to hydrocodone. I've never heard that mentioned with any other opioid.

I looked it up and oxy doesn't state this but it increases Cns depression, with morphine it increases levels. Those were the only two I checked. Your right. Thank you.

I take norco so this interaction does apply to me.
