Aye man, I know it's gonna be a cunt looking for a job but I'm not looking for sympathy. As I said, I basically chose this. I'm happy it's happened.

Might be a totally different story in a few months right enough :\

I feel for ya mate.
But you did tear the arse out of it from what i can gather from some of your posts.
If i'm wrong & you did the job properly i'm sorry.

It's always better to get the sack than to leave of your own choice.
If you leave you aren't entitled to Benefit . I left a job once & ended up signing on in Southampton & declaring my last job was as a
Tulip Packer in Amsterdam .
The address i gave was so bogus can't remember now but it was like - No. 12 Amsterdam rd.
They bought it n i had to go to Southampton every two weeks to sign on .

It is better to be sacked if you want to go on benefits after, but it is 100% better to leave if you want another job.

Of course I tore the arse out it lol. That's why I said "I'm not looking for sympathy".

Why? My ex-employer won't give me a bad reference.

You don't need to say you were sacked though. Just "I worked there from xxx to xxx".

They might ask why you left, but they might not.

I think in PT's case you're right but it's not always the case.

Tell us how you think it'll come up "whether you want it to or not"?

Most large employers will only give dates employed in official references, they won't mention sacked/resigned etc.

If you mention it at the interview without being asked then you're a chump.

If you mention it in the job, as long as you haven't lied beforehand, what's the problem?

If an employer's the type who'd take somebody on and then later sack them for having lied about their employment history during the application process then they're not the kind of employer I'd want to work for.
