What is your favorite HEALTHY munchie food?

^What about just baked pumpkin seeds? I looooove making those in the fall.

Omggg so far my favorite healthy munchie food is apple slices and caramel dip(0g trans fat). Holy hell.. it tastes so damn good! I'll use fresh granny smith apples, and every other apples. I havnt tried it with red delicious apples.. almost everytime i buy those kind of apples and bite into them they taste dry and the apple almost turns into grits in my mouth..real gritty.
But every other apple i like, like the apples that look like figi u kno that light sunburst red and orange light yellow. They have a sweet name..like honey? Lol but yea.. apple slices dipd in caramel. :)

Nothing beats a handful of unsalted, whole almonds (or any nuts really). I also like wholegrain crackers with natural peanut butter or fruit.

^ Peanuts are as healthy as natural peanut butter. That is to say that sure, they have fat and the calories add up rather quickly (like most legumes), but they contain healthy fat. Heck of a lot better than eating potato chips. :)

Fresh green beans. I just bought a huge bag of 'em and I find them delicious. Maybe because I haven't had them in awhile. I steam them just slightly so they're still crunchy, throw a pinch of seasoning and eat.

Healthy Snacks that are filling for Weed Munchies/Replacements to Junk Food

I am terrible for weed munchies, as much as I love to try and stay healthy eating wise this is probably my major downfall in my diet. So I'm wondering if anyone could recommend any cheap, widely available snacks/fast recipes that are filling to replace my typical munchies filled with crisps/chocolate/biscuits which aren't doing me any good, not even for filling my appetite as it's all just empty calories to me. I am quite healthy and so by getting this sorted I would be good all round for diet/fitness. My main problem is that I just don't know of any substitutes.

It also results in a lot more takeaways and just general poor eating and I personally feel that a good diet gives me a noticeably bigger energy boost and eating takeaways and smoking weed and necking pills all weekend leads to a massive crash. I'd say the poor eating is also a large contribtion. I've tried learning how to cook the meals I enjoy (example Indian foods) from scratch with great results (also much healthier) but obviously this isn't suitable when I'm looking some food quickly and not interested in cutting vegetables/cooking for an hour or two.

This doesn't necessarily need to be for weed either, just in general for those who tend to snack a lot but don't get filled.

I've been considering looking into smoothies lately (partially due to thread here), as not only do they taste great but they are a lot more filling. I've heard these can be quite bad for sugar though but compared to crisps/chocolate these would be a much better option I'm sure. I'm not a fan of dried fruit either which is quite a common choice for many and I've heard nuts are bad for calories too.

I prefer vegeterian dishes, but I'm open to anything.

Even quick meals are good too like Pasta/Pesto/Peas. Also if someone doesn't mind answering alongside this. Can you eat replacements of meats as snacks regularly such as Quorn food due to their healthier contents or is this blown up a little and they aren't as healthy as they appear to be? For example would a Quorn Burger be a much more healthier and reasonable alternative than the likes of a Rustlers Burger (for those outside UK those burgers that come in the plastic packets that you microwave for 70 seconds sort've thing) or should these ideas just be cut out and better 'snack' foods be sought? Here is the nutrition info for a single Quorn burger for example:

per burger
Cal 73kCal
Fat 2.4g
Sat Fat 0.5g 0.3g
Sugar 0.5g
Salt 0.5g

When you start adding in additional things for that e.g. bread it becomes a lot less healthier and just doesn't seem like a good option. Same with sandwiches? I suppose anything is better than the likes of crisps though as they just don't fill you up.

For something quick and filling I use instant oats, microwaved with water, and then add honey and cinnamon.

My other options include a large banana, or avocado on toast.

I eat quorn products from time to time, I find them delicious, but to me they are more of a sometimes food, rather than something I would eat every day.

Grains are filling and have a desirable calorie:volume ratio. Most of em are bland anyway, which means you can flavor them in any direction you please.

The body has a difficult to impossible time recognizing liquid calories, so avoid those and go for water or something like crystal lite instead when thirsty.

Protein has the highest satiety value if you are looking for what's best at staving off additional hunger pangs. I've never been failed by a tuna fish sandwich in that regard. Find something you like and don't be afraid to rely on it! For efficiency's sake.

Some [a lot of] people on this thread have a really interesting idea of what can be defined as a healthy munchie food.
If I could have lightly salted avocado and sundried tomatoes every time I got high, I would be quite alright with that.

I love to eat potato chips, but being healthy I usually go for noodles, apples, carrot, grated cheese.

Or bake-bean Toasties !!!

I'm seriously hooked on roasted seaweed.
