Not from any of the countries stated but just more curious why this is? I have read in alot of forums this is the case?
I don't know why Mexico isn't a bigger player in the MDMA trade, only cartel involved is the sinaola cartel, according to the dea.
Mexico seems to be big into the whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy. This is evident in their continuous production of black tar heroin, and "brick weed." Surely that have the resources to produce powder heroin and better weed, but there is no need for them to do it because people are going to buy BTH and brick weed due to availability. Mexico also produces over 80% of the methamphetamine consumed by the US.
Ecstasy-trafficking has – traditionally – been intraregional within Europe (as the origin of most of the ecstasy used to be Europe) and inter-regional for other regions. In recent years, the importance of Europe as a source region has clearly declined. Production has shifted to other regions, notably North America and South-East Asia. Exports from the latter regions to other regions are, however, still very limited.
Ecstasy trafficking used to be inter-regional (from western Europe to North America) but has now become mainly intra-regional, with deliveries from Canada into the United States.

There isn't much of an incentive for Mexico to produce MDMA to ship to the US because they already make so much money selling these other drugs. I don't think it would be worth it for them to have chemists start or switch to producing another drug when they could just continue producing heroin and meth, and afaik, the demand for these two is great enough that production is still booming. I don't think that there's a bunch of Mexican chemists sitting around saying "I think we made enough heroin and meth for now, we could probably take a break from making it and switch to making MDMA until the US starts running low on the ice and tar." I think that the demand is still high enough for BTH and meth (due to consumption and DEA seizures) that it's production rate is steady.
Those two drugs, as well as marijuana, can easily be sold on the street, whereas MDMA has more of a different consumer base that may be out of the reach of Mexican street dealers. I don't think that many MDMA users are going to hit the streets, going into shady areas of town looking for a hit. I wouldn't imagine many young ravers would be up for stopping by [insert name of ghetto here] on their way to a rave so that they could cold cop off the street.
