Hey chainer, what's your normal method of smoking (or vaping)? For some reason I see you as a strictly glassware kind of guy that smokes a fat ass blunt every now and then.
Nah, it's because you can't pack a gram into themRight Chainer?
Clear Rolling papers are made from a specialized form of cellulose film which is also known as Cellophane. When you think of Cellophane you probably think of plastic wrap, however natural Cellophane is not made from plastic. Instead it is made from chemically modified natural Cellulose, predominantly from trees or cotton.
They burn quite well and very different then a normal white paper. They sort of compact around your cigarette as you are smoking and therefore provide a very tight pull. It's quite unlike smoking a normal cigarette. They also have a sweet taste on the lips. This is part of the Glycerin effect. Glycerin tastes sweet. Burning Glycerin does release Acrolein (a carcinogen). This may sound bad but remember that burning Tobacco releases LOTS of carcinogens - lots more then that small amount of Glycerin!
There has been some controversy surrounding these products. This is because a couple brands incorrectly advertised their products as being more natural then regular 'white' rolling papers and went so far as to claim that regular white rolling papers contain lead and arsenic whereas clear rolling papers do not. As American Spirit once said "THERE IS NO HEALTHY CIGARETTE". However a clear rolled cigarette would definitely not be any safer or healthier then a 'white' cigarette in this writers opinion. See the bottom of this page for the PURE LIE
I recall in the 1970's another company tried to launch a brand of clear rolling papers. They were called INVISIBLE and should be part of my collection somewhere. They were extremely dry, so they were crumbly and difficult to roll with. These clear rolling papers below are made from a mixture of cellulose, Glycerin and water. The Aleda website & advertisements mistakenly claimed that their product is made from 100% vegetables, which is incorrect. Aleda is made from a blend of wood cellulose, glycerin and water - no Vegetables in there sorry....
