I don't know when exactly it happened, but I just feel really good about the Sixers right now . It's easy to just assume both Embiid and Noel will get re-injured but let's just assume they both dont. I see that being the best frontcourt in the NBA in two years when Embiid comes back.
Did anyone even watch this guy play in college? He's a fucking freak, and if it weren't for the injury he'd be number one and the Sixers probably would have drafted Wiggins.
so that injury could either be the best or worst thing to happen to the Sixers, but Id like to think it will be the former.
They both move so well for big men, I see this team becoming the next lob city when everything comes together since MCW forces a lot of fast breaks with his defense
with two legitimate shot blockers around the rim, teams are going to have to settle for a lot of shots, which is really the best way to beat superstars since it becomes more just about their shot making which is always random.
and watch Jerami Grant become a contributor right away. He is all over the box score, and will probably be a pretty good defender in the NBA
the problem remains however, this team has little to no outside shooters. What's the point of having two skilled big men if there isnt anyone to take advantage of open looks?
pretty much no point really, but they have the luxury of wanting to suck as I pointed out after the draft
and they will this year, they will be absolutely horrible
and I love it. A lot of people have forgotten about the Sixers here, but I just have a feeling after this year the team is going to really come together and ill be able to drive my 2016 Bandwagon right into the playoffs.
then again it's not really a bandwagon if you've stuck through the Evan Turner/Andrew Bynum/Spencer Hawes era
I almost had to bail on the Sixers with the Wiggins thing but now I'm glad it didnt come to that
