Hi, i'm 2 hours short to make it to 72 hours clean from heroin. (its 10.09 in the morning here)
My consume time line after 2 months of half a gram of heroin a day (or subutex in some days) was 12 days clean 2 days with H, 1 clean, 1 H, 3 clean, 3 H, 1 clean, 1 H.. and now i'm near 72 hours clean, hope this one is the one.
I took subutex in the first day, and then i resumed the meds the doc gave me, clonodine and clonezepan. I'm having night sweats, what is strange, because i didn't have the previous detox (the 12 days clean) appart form that, i'm just anxious (i'm takins low dose of clonezepan this time) and with no energy. And of course, depressed....
I had some hope i would feel no wd, but after the 3 days straight, and a 4th after one day clean, the hopes were low.
I have so much to do next week, hope i will already be in shape to face the week. Today i already took the clonodine and the prozac (i'm on prozac for about a month, since i went to the last doc). Hope i pass this day thorough with "flying colours"

After 72 hours the worst is usually over. Doesn't mean it's all gone but day 4 should be better than day 3 and so on until you feel much better. Day 5 is usually turning a corner but just remember that once you start to feel well, this is also when risk is high to go back again because your mind might convince you that you've detoxed now so one shot won't hurt etc.

Also, as for the subutex, without knowing more details, bupe has a long half-life (20-70hrs with a mean of 37hrs) so that could explain why you didn't get any sweats etc.

Clonidine can help with the sweats and other nervous system symptoms of opi wd.

I only used subutex in the first day.. the 11 days i was clean i used clonodine and clonozepan, and didn' get any night sweat... well this day is almost over, i'm still in good way... tomorrow at 12 will be 96 hours :) yes, i will try not to fall in the trapp "i'm almot good, maybe if i take one dose, there will be o problem"... i know it to well, unfortunaly, sometimes i fall in it..

Keep it goin man. Good luck, hope this turns out well :)
Keep us updated.
And another good way to keep your mind with a goal of staying clean (i have found)..
Once at the 72hr mark, dont say or think of it like "ive been clean OVER 72hrs"
Think of it as "you've ALMOST been clean a week", giving you something to get to instead of feeling you accomplished something.
(Yes you did accomplish the 72hrs, but like numb said, feeling you convince yourself youve been clean long enough.)
Give yourself a goal to reach, then once at a week clean, call it "ALMOST 2 weeks" When at 2 weeks say "ALMOST a month" and so on..
It's people who brag they have been clean for over X amount of months that use that same sentence as justifying using again.
If you ever see me talking about being clean i say almost 2 years, not over a year (get what im getting at?)
Again.. Good luck, stay smart and strong.

You only used subutex the first day but you also said you took it sometimes in place of H. So depending on the frequency or how close to your detox you dosed subutes, this could be a significant factor as to why you did not experience heavy withdrawals. Herois is very short-acting, wd comes on very quickly. Wd can take days to appear with long-acting opioids like subs and methadone and in that case I suspect the sub saved your hide. Which probably led you to feel "this aint all that bad"?

Subs are the uncommon denomniator here. No subs = full-blown wd symptoms

But good on you man. Stay strong and keep it up (I'm 8 days oxy free right now, it can be done).

Congrats on your 8th day! I'm still going strong here, tomorrow at noon will be 120 hours clean. ANd thank you all, for your supportive words.

sixth day, and counting. this last night i didn't get any night sweats. i wasn't feeling bad when i woke up but i took the pills in the morning, cause i'm having a full day and i didn' want to risk having wd through the day.. but i think the physical part it's praticaly over, it was a 4 day binge after a detox (sort of, i explain in the topic). so i wasn't expecting 7 days of full wd, and fortunaly i got that right. Now i will take care of the emocional/mental part.
Thanks again all of you for the support, and sorry for my written english

So Santos, you posted this back in May. I would really like to know how you're doing now man. Still on the straight and narrow? I certianly hope so... being an active heroin addict is no way to live, my friend (as I'm sure you already know) and it's bitch to kick(as I'm sure you also know). I've been "on again off again" for about a decade or so. But it's been about 15 days since I've used. I'm doing a low dose of Suboxone everyday. I IV it, which I know is dumb but I found that pushing off 2 mgs of bupe is a lot more rewarding then 8 mg of that nasty shit melting under my tounge. I don't have a script so I get my meds on the street and the prices keep going up. IVing them makes it a lot easier to save... but I know that it's a stupid thing to do and I'm sorry to change the subject.
My main point is congrats on your sobritey... if you're still sober, that is. Let us know how you're doing....

PS: If anyone reading this is inclined to try IVing bupe for the first time I recommend shooting a low dose (no matter how high your tolerance is). Also shooting bupe a few hours after a shot of H will make you sicker than you've ever been (I know this from expirence) so put a good 24 hours in between shooting H and shooting bupe. You're not gonna feel great for those 24 hours but it is NOTHING compared to how sick you're going to get if you don't wait... I promise you this. Best of luck Santos and to all of you that are trying to get that monkey off your back!!
